  • Publication number: 20120011921
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for improving the efficiency of high-pressure liquid chromatography columns in HPLC. More specifically, the method of the present invention provides a high-pressure liquid chromatography column being divided into a multitude of shorter separation segments, the shorter separation segments being serially connected with cooling segments. By applying an active controlled cooling action on the fluid flow passing through the cooling segments the separation efficiency of the high-pressure liquid chromatography column can be increased significantly.
