  • Publication number: 20240142945
Abstract: A system and method are provided for automated engaging of a truck trailer at a loading dock. Sensors measure a distance and an angle of alignment between the incoming trailer and a wall of the loading dock. An outside lighting system guides a truck driver backing the trailer toward the dock door. A vehicle restraint system fixates the trailer within the loading dock in response to signals from the sensors. An overhead dock door opens once the trailer is successfully fixated by the vehicle restraint system. A dock leveler deploys after the overhead dock door opens. An inside dock light indicates to dock personnel that the trailer is ready to be serviced. Once servicing of the trailer is finished, an automated release of the trailer from the loading dock may be initiated by PLC communication.

  • Publication number: 20170293465
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer audio system may use a playback manager to manage the audio streams of audio applications. A playback manager 202 may receive an audio stream category declaration 300 from an audio application 204. The playback manager 202 may determine a media focus status for an audio stream of the audio application 204 based in part on the audio stream category declaration 300.

  • Publication number: 20090287364
Abstract: An air traffic display aid and method that uses parameters for defining a heading for an alpha approach and a beta approach. These can be intersecting or converging runways, dependent or independent parallel runways or airways in en-route configurations. A target reference point is determined in dependence upon the alpha and beta approaches. And an image reference point is determined in dependence upon at least one of the target reference point, a difference between the headings, a characteristic of the beta approach and an offset. Single target mirror ghosting, in-trail ghosting on demand, associated configurations and user selectable resynchronization spacing is also supported.
