  • Patent number: 10131326
Abstract: An apparatus and method for mounting and inflating tires is described that is suitable for quickly sealing the beads of a tire to the rim of a wheel. The present invention delivers a high volume of pressurized air to an interior of a tire through a nozzle. The apparatus of the invention is particularly well suited for tire changing machines and tire mounting subsystems. The apparatus includes a tire changing station, an air supply controller, and a nozzle capable of delivering a high volume of pressurized fluid into an interior of a tire through a valve stem hole of the wheel rim.

  • Publication number: 20120174206
Abstract: Techniques and apparatus are provided for a secure computing environment. In particular, in some embodiments a secure computing environment is provide by requesting, by a processor, booting of a virtual machine on a first computing device. A hash value of the virtual machine is verified and it is determined whether an external storage device is present. The result of the verification is written to an environment variable. Additionally, it is determined if the external storage device is paired with the first computing device and the result of the determination is written to an environment variable. The virtual machine is then booted by the first computing device.

  • Patent number: 6257957
Abstract: A system for enhancing lens preparation which allows for error compensation to provide nearly error-free lens fining and/or polishing. The system employs a flexure to allow three degrees of freedom for a lens being prepared. The system also employs a Hall effect circuit board to monitor movement of the flexure to account for error, provide feedback to a controller so that compensation for such error can be effected and so that proper force may be maintained. The flexure and the sensor feedback subsystem enable nearly error-free lens surfaces.
