  • Publication number: 20240176369
Abstract: A vehicle wash component at a vehicle wash location includes a processor for controlling an operational status of the vehicle wash component, an actuator communicatively coupled to the processor and configured to operate the vehicle wash component, and a power source electrically coupled to the processor and the actuator. The processor receives a signal from a car wash controller located at the vehicle wash location, the signal for commanding control of the vehicle wash component, and upon receipt of the signal, the processor interprets the signal, generates a separate signal, and transmits the generated signal to the actuator. The actuator receives the signal from the processor for controlling the operational status of the vehicle wash component based thereon. The power source provides power to the actuator for operating the vehicle wash component based on the operational status of the vehicle wash component.

  • Publication number: 20240159582
Abstract: An optical chemical level-sensing device includes an elongated tube for insertion into a top opening of a storage container, with a portion extending above the top of the storage container, which couples to a sealed control unit. A float device resides in the elongated tube in the storage container containing a liquid chemical solution, which includes a target surface configured to reflect optical signals. The sealed control unit includes an optical time-of-flight sensor and a lens that serves as a physical barrier between the liquid chemical solution and the optical time-of-flight sensor, while also allowing optical signals to pass through. The optical time-of-flight sensor emits optical signals through the lens toward the target surface of the float device and measures a return time of reflections of the optical signals off of the target surface to determine a level of the liquid chemical solution within the storage container.

  • Publication number: 20230139033
Abstract: A fluid dilution control system includes a processor and a plurality of sensors communicatively coupled to the processor. Each of the plurality of sensors is configured to sense a tracer component in a mixed solution of solution and motive fluid, where the tracer component is present in a pre-defined amount in the solution prior to being mixed with the motive fluid in the mixed solution. Each of the plurality of sensors senses a level of the tracer component present in the mixed solution and transmits the sensed information to the processor such that the processor compares the sensed level of each tracer component to a target level of a respective tracer component and causes a rate of dilution of one or more solutions containing the sensed tracer component to be adjusted to reach the target level of the respective tracer component.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, devices and materials for the in situ formation of an implant for treating a nerve. A treatment site on a nerve is positioned within a cavity defined by a form. A transformable media is introduced into the form cavity to surround the treatment site. The media is permitted to undergo a transformation from a first, relatively flowable state to a second, relatively non flowable state to form a protective barrier surrounding the treatment site. The implant may be a growth inhibiting nerve cap to inhibit neuroma formation following planned or traumatic nerve injury, a growth permissive conduit for facilitating reconnection of a severed nerve, or an anchor for stabilizing a pain management electrode with respect to a nerve. Access to the nerve treatment site may be open surgical or percutaneous.

A transformable media is introduced into the form cavity to surround the treatment site. The media is permitted to undergo a transformation from a first, relatively flowable state to a second, relatively non flowable state to form a protective barrier surrounding the treatment site. A hydrophilic characteristic of the media cooperates with a hydrophobic characteristic of the surface of the cavity to facilitate a rapid release of the implant from the cavity following the transformation. The implant may be a growth inhibiting nerve cap to inhibit neuroma formation following planned or traumatic nerve injury, a growth permissive conduit for facilitating reconnection of a severed nerve, or an anchor for stabilizing a pain management electrode with respect to a nerve.

  • Publication number: 20140254100
Abstract: A desktop enclosure provides cooling for a circuit board without the noise and power consumption of fans. An elastomeric suspension applies a force to a circuit board. The circuit board transmits the force to a heat source which is thermally coupled to a heat conduction rod through a non curing, ultra-high conductive performance thermal interface grease. The heat conduction rod is fastened to a heatsink lid of the enclosure which dissipates the heat by convection and radiation.

  • Publication number: 20090277157
Abstract: A system for realizing improved fuel efficiency and reduced fuel emissions in an internal combustion engine. The system comprises a nano-jet filter includes a fuel channeling chamber having a set of aligned magnetic members such that the flow of fuel passes through a magnetic field created by the set of aligned magnetic members. The system further comprises a nano-jet saver, having a chamber equipped with additional sets of magnets in order to magnetize larger fuel molecules and traverse hyper magnet gradients. The purpose of using a hyper magnetic field is to change conventional fuel into “nano” fuel. Having fuel particles with a smaller diameter, both better fuel efficiency and reduced emissions are achieved as the fuel burns more completely and more cleanly. With any fossil-fuel internal-combustion engine, an operator can expect to see a reduction in emissions to the environment, fuel savings, and better performance while using an apparatus that consumes no external energy.
