  • Patent number: 8135156
Abstract: This invention is to provide a sound reproduction device including a tube, a loudspeaker and a resonance unit, wherein the loudspeaker includes a frame body having a side adjacent to a first diaphragm thereof peripherally fixed to a first opening of the tube, and the resonance unit includes a second diaphragm peripherally fixed to a second opening of the tube and a weighting element fixed at a central position of the second diaphragm. Thus, a closed resonance chamber is defined within the tube between the loudspeaker and resonance unit. When the loudspeaker is driven, the first diaphragm is vibrated and in turn vibrates air in front of the sound reproduction device to make sound and drives the second diaphragm to vibrate air behind the sound reproduction device synchronously in the same direction, thereby producing twice as strong low-frequency sound effect as a traditional sound reproduction device without a resonance unit.

  • Publication number: 20100270697
Abstract: A manufacturing method of a mouse pad capable of enhancing the precision of detecting a displacement of an optical mouse includes: mixing silicone and light reflecting particles to form a mixed material; putting the mixed material into a mold to form a pad body by hot pressing; coating a transparent coating onto a surface of the pad body to form a flat smooth layer on the surface to produce a mouse pad. Since the smooth layer is on the surface of the mouse pad, users can smoothly move an optical mouse on the smooth layer. The optical mouse emits a light to the mouse pad to detect a displacement, and each light reflecting particle forms an image with a significant difference on an optical sensor of the optical mouse by a light reflection or refraction to determine the optical mouse moving direction and displacement according to the images.

  • Publication number: 20080246728
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a cursor pointing device having a memory card receiving mechanism, which is enclosed by a housing including an upper housing, a lower housing, and a space formed in the housing after assembling the upper housing and the lower housing together. A receiving unit is disposed on an underside of the upper housing facing the space and includes one or more receiving slots each adapted to receive a memory card. The upper housing is adapted to either open to expose each receiving slot or close onto the lower housing to conceal each receiving slot. Each memory card is protected by and securely received in the receiving slot. Therefore, a user carrying both the cursor pointing device and the memory card(s) does not need to worry about a possible loss of any memory card due to its compactness, slimness, and lightweight.

  • Publication number: 20040061681
Abstract: The invention is to provide a mouse having a heat dissipation arrangement, which comprises a sensor and at least one vent opening on the surface of the mouse, when one hand of a user holds and operates the mouse coupled to an electronic device, an internal fan installed within the mouse is activated to produce a current of air being guided through the vent opening to the palm in close contact with the surface of the mouse. As a result, it is possible to effectively utilize an unoccupied internal space of the mouse to produce current of air for preventing the hand of user from sweating during operating the mouse.

  • Publication number: 20040001045
Abstract: The invention is to provide a rotary-type encoder structure utilized by a device to control movement and scrolling on the screen of a display, which has a resilient projecting member unitarily formed on a footing such that the resilient projecting member is postured against and between arcuate sections contiguously disposed along the inner wall of a recess in one side of a roller wheel; such that, when the user rotates the roller wheel, the coordinative relationship between the said arcuate sections and the said projecting member enables all intervals of engagement are identical during each revolution of the roller wheel to achieve the objective of page turning or movement on the screen.

  • Patent number: 6586720
Abstract: A trackball for controlling the position of a cursor on a display of a personal computer. The trackball includes one or more buttons and a circular opening on the upper housing, a ball formed of transparent or semitransparent material having uniformly embedded reflective particles such as emery powder or the like, and an optical device adjacent the ball in the trackball, the optical device including a light source and a photodetector. When the ball is rotated, the emitted diffuse light from the light source is penetrated through the ball and a predetermined portion of the penetrated light is reflected to the photodetector through the ball by the particles such that the photodetector is capable of creating an image of an illuminated portion of the ball from the reflected light and calculating a direction and a distance proportional to the rotation of the ball. This can eliminate the inconsistency between the rotating ball and the moving cursor.

  • Publication number: 20020181727
Abstract: The present invention provides a headphone comprising at least three speakers wherein two of the speakers are held to the ears and the other speaker is in contact with parts of the head other than the ears so that sound from speakers is audible by the ears; a signal line having a conductor and a power line both coupled to each speaker so that external signals are sent to the speakers through the conductor and an external electrical power of source is applied to the speakers through the power line respectively. By utilizing this, a surround sound effect is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20020171622
Abstract: A process for increasing resolution of mouse movement on computer screen comprises the steps of moving a mouse to cause two beams of light emitted from light emitting elements to be detected by photodetectors, converting the light into two sequential sinusoidal analog signals having a phase difference therebetween, activating an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to perform an analog-to-digital conversion on the analog signals with respect to at least three predetermined references respectively, generating a series of integer in response to each analog signal passes two adjacent ones of the references, representing the series of integer as a step wave having a plurality of steps each representing an integer, and creating a coordinate comparison table with respect to the integers of the step wave, whereby there are at least six chances to determine change of coordinate with respect to a cursor moving on the screen during one movement cycle of the mouse.
