  • Publication number: 20190291787
Abstract: A recessed portion is formed at a frame member provided at a rear portion of a vehicle body and having a closed cross section extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction such that a part of a lower face of the frame member is recessed upwardly, where a damper of a rear suspension is inserted and fixed. A front portion of the frame member is joined to a side sill extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction at a position offset outwardly in a vehicle width direction from the frame member. Branch-shaped closed cross sections branching off from the closed cross section inwardly and outwardly relative to the damper are formed at a position corresponding to the recessed portion of the frame member. A portion of the frame member located at the above-described position is wide outwardly.

  • Patent number: 10065646
Abstract: An engine stop control device is provided for a vehicle that ensures a sufficient operation frequency of coast stop operation during travel on a congested road, thereby to improve practical fuel economy. The vehicle has an engine that is capable of being restarted. A controller is configured to stop the engine automatically when the vehicle, after experiencing a travel with a vehicle speed VSP exceeding a first threshold value, decreases the speed below a CS (coast stop) start vehicle speed. The controller is further configured to set a second threshold value below the first threshold value. The controller is further configured, after starting from an engine automatic stop due to the coast stop control and when the vehicle experiences travel exceeding the second threshold value without exceeding the first threshold value, to permit the automatic engine stop due to the coast stop control at least once.

  • Patent number: 9714052
Abstract: A pair of rear side frames respectively comprise front bending-promotion portions, middle bending-promotion portions and rear bending-promotion portions which cause the rear side frames to bend inward, in a vehicle width direction, in a trough-folding shape in a rear collision of a vehicle, and a longitudinal distance L2 between the front bending-promotion portions and the middle bending-promotion portions is set to be longer than a longitudinal direction L1 between the middle bending-promotion portions and the rear bending-promotion portions. Thereby, there is provided a rear vehicle-body structure of an automotive vehicle which can properly absorb a collision load at a vehicle-body rear portion, even if a rear side frame is made from material which may not cause smooth bucking of the rear side frame.

  • Patent number: 8836285
Abstract: Provided is a power management system capable of controlling charge and discharge of storage batteries according to power requirement of load even when handling electric power of large scale. A system controller receives load-related information data including the power requirement of load and storage battery-related information data including a state of a storage battery assembly including multiple storage batteries and creates an overall charge-discharge control instruction for the entire power management system based on the load-related information data and the storage battery-related information data. A hierarchical charge-discharge control apparatus receives the overall charge-discharge control instruction from the system controller and performs charge-discharge control of the multiple storage batteries, classified into hierarchical levels, on a hierarchical level basis.
