The casing (8) includes an open mouth through which one side of the board storage space (23) is opened. The lid part (24) closes the open mouth of the casing (8). The lid part (24) is provided with a tapered surface (77). The casing (8) is provided with a contact portion (78) that can be in contact with the tapered surface (77). In a state where the tapered surface (77) and the contact portion (78) are in contact with each other, ultrasonic welding between the casing (8) and the lid part (24) is performed.

A metal core board for a vehicle-mountable junction box, which is mountable on the vehicle-mountable junction box, wherein a core plate forming an intermediate layer of the metal core board has a plurality of slits and an island surrounded by separating connection parts present between the slits; and in the state where the island is held between insulating layers stacked on both of two surfaces of the core plate, through-bores 46 are formed at the separating connection parts to remove the separating connection parts and the island is made electrically independent from a remaining part of the core plate while being held between the insulating layers. Thus, a plurality of circuits can be formed.

According to the drain structure of the electric connection box, since a pair of engaging leg portions of a waterproof lid is engaged in a peripheral part of a communication hole of the drain portion and a lid portion covers the upper part of the water discharging hole, the water that penetrates through to the inside of the electric connection box through the communication hole and water discharging hole of the drain portion can be dammed in use of lid portion of the waterproof lid and can be prevented from gushing into the electric connection box. As a result, since it is possible to prevent the terminal portion of a wire such as a wire harness or the like, which is arranged to run from moistening with the water, penetration of water can be surely prevented.
