  • Publication number: 20160127593
Abstract: An image forming apparatus is provided. The image forming apparatus includes an electric power supply, a plurality of modules, a startup time calculator, and a fastest startup pattern determiner. The plurality of modules include a plurality of direct current (DC) modules and at least one alternating current (AC) module, and the modules are to be driven by an electric power supplied from the electric power supply. The startup time calculator calculates a startup time of each of the modules. The fastest startup pattern determiner determines a fastest startup pattern based on the startup time of each of the modules calculated by the startup time calculator, and starts up the modules in accordance with the determined fastest startup pattern. The fastest startup pattern is determined based on a longest startup time among the startup times of the DC and AC modules.

  • Patent number: 9234818
Abstract: To improve output and thermal efficiency of a gas engine by advancing the ignition timing to a maximum extent while knocking is suppressed, in the plurality of cylinders, by a simple and low-cost means, in a first calculation part 32, a knocking limit ignition timing Tia of a representing cylinder 14a is calculated based on an in-cylinder pressure waveform. In a second calculation part 34, a knocking limit ignition timing Tia? of the representing cylinder 14a is calculated by substituting an operation state quantity and a basic engine specification value into a formula (1). In a third calculation part 36, the knocking limit ignition timings Tia and Tia? are compared to obtain a correction factor C. In a fourth calculation part 38, based on the obtained correction factor C, the knocking limit ignition timings Tib-Tif of cylinders other than the representing cylinder 14a are calculated.

  • Patent number: 8265897
Abstract: A rotation angle detection device for detecting the absolute rotation angle of a rotation body rotating multiple times and whose rotation is to be detected. The rotation angles of a first rotation body rotating at a rotation angle frequency in correspondence with rotation of the rotation object whose rotation is to be detected and the rotation angle of a second rotation body rotating at a rotation frequency that is different from the rotation angle frequency of the first rotation body are individually detected. Based on a phase difference between continuous angle signals detected, the rotation speed of a main rotation body, which is either the first or the second rotation body, and the absolute rotation angle of the rotation body rotating multiple times and whose rotation is to be detected is calculated based on the detected continuous angle signal and rotation speed of the main rotation body.

  • Patent number: 8232794
Abstract: A rotation angle detector for detecting the rotation angle of a rotator to be measured which detects the flux density, generated depending on rotation of the rotator to be measured, of a ring-like magnet fixed to the rotator by means of a magnetic detection element. Since a soft magnetic member is interposed between the ring-like magnet and the rotator, rotation angle of the rotator can be measured accurately without being affected by the material or diameter of the rotator or the fixing state of the rotation angle detector to the rotator. Consequently, a rotation angle detector for detecting the rotation angle of a rotator to be measured accurately without being affected by the material or diameter of the rotator or the fixing state of the rotation angle detector to the rotator is presented.
