  • Publication number: 20140172494
Abstract: The invention displays multiple inventory period combinations, as multiple multi-base inventory deployment proposals having assessed values for items such as cash flow and inventory value, each of said assessed values being within a range entered by an inventory deployment decision-maker. For each product included in request information, the invention finds a minimum period (the total lead time from when a given item leaves the applicable warehouse until the item reaches the base that sells the applicable product) and a maximum period (the total lead time needed for all component parts configuring the item to reach the warehouse, added to the minimum period), for each item configuring said product and each warehouse base. The invention computes product-specific inventory period combination information for each warehouse base, and creates inventory period combination information by combining said product-specific inventory period combination information for each product type.

  • Patent number: 8731700
Abstract: A build-to-order production process is determined in consideration of magnitude of demand. A lead time calculating section (122) calculates process-specific lead time proportional to the time at which the number of items required to produce the amount of demand for products which are periodically ordered is processed for each process of manufacturing a product and selects a process in the range in which the sum value after the calculated process-specific lead time is added to the travel time between the processes does not exceed the lead time permissible by the client as a build-to-order selection process.

  • Patent number: 8494893
Abstract: A production plan enabling suppression of occurrence of excess stock is made. A shipping request representing the requested amount of shipping for each shipping request week is received. Among the shipping weeks of the shipping requests, the furthest future shipping request week is handled as the furthest future shipping week, and the amounts of shipping of shipping weeks near the present time are determined sequentially from the amount of shipping of the furthest future shipping week.

  • Patent number: 8024208
Abstract: The shipping planning system stores price/quantity relationship data for products in advance, calculates additional variable cost for shipping quantity for each product based on available resource and inventory, procured resource amount, procurement lead time, and available facility capability, evaluates relative profit subtracting opportunity loss of other products which shares the resources from a margin profit of the product using the additional variable cost, and determines the product to be shipped which makes the relative profits positive, and a shipping quantity and a price of the product using the price/quantity relationship data.

For the shipping requests after the shipping week n for which the amount of shipping is to be set, the order setting time which is the time of period till the products are delivered to the shipping destination is determined. The allocation order, 1, 2, . . . is determined for each of the shipping requests of the unset shipping so that the longer the order setting time is, the higher the order of allocating shipping request is.

  • Patent number: 7868126
Abstract: This invention provides a polyester and a polyester molded product, which, while maintaining color tone, transparency, and thermal stability, can realize a high polycondensation rate, are less likely to cause the production of polycondensation catalyst-derived undesired materials, and can simultaneously meet both quality and cost effectiveness requirements, which can exhibit the characteristic features, for example, in the fields of ultrafine fibers, high transparent films for optical use, or ultrahigh transparent molded products. These advantages can be realized by using, in the production of a polyester in the presence of an aluminum compound-containing polyester polycondensation catalyst, an aluminum compound having an absorbance of not more than 0.0132 as measured in the form of an aqueous aluminum compound solution, prepared by dissolving the aluminum compound in pure water to give a concentration of 2.

  • Patent number: 7805284
Abstract: An issue to be settled by the present invention is to define a simulation model in accordance with the structure of a causal relation easy to be understood by human and to shorten greatly a simulation program development period. A simulation program is automatically generated by extracting, as nodes, specific items such as phenomenon, events and targets of constituent elements of economy, society or the like regarded as a system, coupling the nodes with arcs to define the structure of the causal relation, and defining a variable necessary for calculating metrics and a calculation formula therefor, relative to a simulation model inheriting the defined structure.
