  • Patent number: 9908413
Abstract: A vehicle display device includes an indicator that luminously displays a display image on its screen by lighting and stops the luminous display of the display image by extinction, and a display panel that includes a light shielding part on a rear surface of the display panel. The light shielding part light-shields a surrounding part of a transmitting window, through which an image light of the display image is transmitted to be capable of being visually recognized from a front side. A transmission region of a front surface of the display panel that is located at least on the front side of the transmitting window is occupied by a planar part that is formed in a flat surface shape along the screen, and a plurality of projecting surface parts that project from the planar part into a curved projecting surface shape.

  • Patent number: 8438916
Abstract: A meter apparatus is mountable on a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine having an output shaft that rotates at a predetermined idling speed during idling of the engine. When the vehicle satisfies a predetermined stop condition during rotation of the output shaft at the idling speed, the rotation of the output shaft is stopped temporarily. The meter apparatus includes a pointer needle that moves according to a rotation speed of the output shaft to indicate the rotation speed. The amount of movement of the pointer needle with respect to a change in the rotation speed of the output shaft is less when the rotation speed is in a low speed range below the idling speed than when the rotation speed is in a high speed range above the idling speed.

  • Publication number: 20120029837
Abstract: An engine revolution meter for displaying an engine revolution number display value includes an obtaining device, a calculating device, and a determining device. The obtaining device obtains an engine revolution number measurement value corresponding to a measured revolution number of an engine of a vehicle. The calculating device calculates the display value based on the measurement value. The determining device determines whether the measurement value is greater or less than a reference value. When the determining device determines that the measurement value is less than the reference value, the calculating device calculates the display value in such a manner that the display value changes at a first rate different from a second rate at which the measurement value changes.
