    Abstract: The invention aims to provide a folding sofa bed wherein a sofa can be made compact and which gives a stable bed that is comfortable to sleep on, and moreover where converting between a sofa and a bed is very easy. The folding sofa bed of the invention comprises a mat section divided lengthwise into three parts, namely a front mat, a center mat and a rear mat, a support frame for supporting part of the rear mat and center mat, and a movable storage container which supports the rest of the center mat and most of the front mat. Furthermore, each mat is secured to an upper edge of the support frame or the movable container, so as to be rotatable up and down, and the movable container can be stored within the support frame.
