  • Patent number: 6080260
Abstract: When producing a laminated metal sheet, the air bubbles taken in when laminating can be lessened so that a laminated metal sheet with low rate of air bubbles can be obtained. For this purpose, in a production method of a laminated metal sheet comprising the steps of laminating of plastic film 2 on at least one side of a metal sheet strip 1, the plastic film is heated to a temperature of between the glass transition temperature of the plastic film and a temperature at which the thermal shrinkage of the film attains 3% when the plastic film is kept for 30 minutes at a constant temperature, and just after the heating, the plastic film is brought into pressure contact with the metal sheet, by which laminated metal sheet in which air bubbles are hard to be taken in when laminating, and the rate of air bubbles is low can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 5720847
Abstract: A laminator for laminating a film sheet on a surface of a substrate comprises: a pressure roller; a conveyor roller for supplying a substrate to the pressure roller; a film sheet-supplier which is reciprocally movable up and down for attaching a front end of a continuous flexible film sheet onto the front end of the surface of the substrate which has been moved by the conveyor roller and is stopped in front of the pressure roller; and a film sheet end-holder which is movable forward and backward and has on its front end a gas blowing face having a curve corresponding to the curve of the surface of the pressure roller so as to hold the film sheet in contact with the surface of the pressure roller.

  • Patent number: 5263899
Abstract: A kelly-bar apparatus includes, for example, an inner kelly-bar, a second kelly-bar and an outer kelly-bar. These kelly-bars are relatively telescopically operable and torque is transmitted from outside to inside. When the second and outer kelly-bar are in a contracted position, they are supported by a spring on a spring support fixed to the inner kelly-bar. The bottom end of a torque transmitting projection of the inner kelly-bar is fitted into and welded to the spring support. The spring support is fixed onto an engagement member formed integrally with the inner kelly-bar. In addition, a stop member for preventing the second kelly-bar from coming away from the outer kelly-bar projects from the inner periphery of the outer kelly-bar at a location above the torque transmitting portion.

  • Patent number: 4910673
Abstract: In an industrial vehicle having at least first and second arms rotatably coupled to each other, a locus depicted by a tip of the second arm during rotation of the first and second arms is controlled. An amount of positional deviation of the tip of the second arm in the direction (compensating direction) perpendicular to the direction of the targeted locus (operating direction) is detected. A command value for the compensating velocity is determined from a command value for the operating velocity and the deviation. The driving of the first and second arms is controlled by the two velocity command values in the operating and compensating directions in such a manner that the tip of the second arm moves along the targeted locus. In short, positional feedback is provided by means of the positional deviation in the direction perpendicular to the targeted locus. In addition, the direction of the targeted locus is set as the direction of installation of an operating attachment mounted on the tip of the second arm.

  • Patent number: 4641092
Abstract: A flaw detection apparatus for detecting flaws at the outer surface of a product, such as a steel bar, wire or steel pipe, which is round in section and produced by the hot rolling, by use of a probe of non-contact type and rotating around the product to be inspected, the apparatus providing a means for suppressing vibrations of an object to be inspected, a means for measuring a distance (lift-off) between the object to be inspected and the probe, and a means for carrying out positional control on the basis of the detection result of the lift-off measurement so that the axis of rotation of probe is allowed to be coincident with the axis of object to be inspected.

  • Patent number: 4070885
Abstract: Stamping means in a single stroke initially passes upwardly through a pool of coating material to collect coating stuff on the face of the die element, then through a restricted opening formed integral with the coating material reservoir to remove excess coating stuff from the periphery of the die and finally into functional engagement with a substrate to simultaneously deform and coat the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4039704
Abstract: It is known to apply a sealant to the inner surface of opening portions of a can end so as to reinforce the opening portions and to prevent the leakage of the contents. Devices were invented previously in order to achieve this purpose, but the efficiency of production with these devices is extremely low. The number of cans processed by such conventional devices is limited to about 75 per minute at most, and it is extremely difficult to raise the productivity beyond the limit. Because the sealant used is of very high viscosity, it is not easy to take out a small portion of it and coat it on the inside surface of the can end, and the operation is also time-consuming.The present invention has succeeded in taking out a small predetermined amount of such a high viscosity sealant always onto a stamping die, and this markedly increases the efficiency of production. While the conventional production results in the processing of about 75 pieces per minute, the present invention can increase it to about 300 per minute.
