    Abstract: An electronic pen includes an electronic pen main body section coupled to a side of a housing that includes an opening. The electronic pen main body section includes: an axial portion that is put into a hollow portion of the housing via the opening; and a tip portion that is coupled to the axial portion and externally exposed from the opening of the housing. A diameter of the tip portion is larger than a diameter of the opening of the housing. A coupling side of the tip portion includes a second ring-shaped end face that comes into contact with a first ring-shaped end face on the side of the housing that includes the opening. The electronic pen main body section includes a stepped portion on a coupling area between the tip portion and the axial portion.

    Abstract: An electronic pen is provided that is enhanced in strength such as not to be bent or broken even when made to be thinner (smaller in diametric size). A connection section holds a core body at one end thereof and holds a circuit board at the other end thereof. The circuit board is accommodated in a board protecting pipe, which is fitted to the connection section. The board protecting pipe is provided with a side opening, and an operation on an electronic part on the circuit board accommodated therein and a work on an electronic circuit formed on the circuit board can be performed through the side opening. An electronic pen main body section wherein the core body and the circuit board and the board protecting pipe are united together through the connection section is accommodated in a casing, to constitute the electronic pen.

    Abstract: A pen pressure detection device includes: a pressure sensor including electrodes that output electrical information corresponding to an applied pressure; and a holder configured to electrically connect the pressure sensor to a circuit board having a circuit that detects the applied pressure based on the electrical information output from the pressure sensor. The holder includes a first portion that retains the pressure sensor and a second portion that engages with the circuit board, and the holder has a surface on which wiring is formed, the wiring extending from the first portion to the second portion, and the electrodes of the pressure sensor being electrically connected to the circuit board via the wiring when the holder and the circuit board are engaged with each other. The pen pressure detection device can be easily assembled and maintain a connection to the circuit board when the applied pressure is high.
