Abstract: An optical scanning apparatus has: a deflection unit that scans beams emitted from a plurality of laser light sources; an imaging unit having one or more optical elements for imaging beams scanned by the deflection unit; and a supporting unit having a higher rigidity than a rigidity of the imaging unit. The supporting unit has a pair of receiving members that support the imaging unit, in a sub-scanning direction, near both ends, as seen in a main scanning direction, of the imaging unit. The optical scanning apparatus also has; a bend-adjustment unit that corrects bend. The bend-adjustment unit is disposed on the supporting unit at a plurality of positions along the main scanning direction. • Publication number: 20090146721
Abstract: The present invention provides an OOB detection circuit capable of making accurate signal determination even in the case where a characteristic fluctuation occurs in an analog circuit, thereby preventing deterioration in the yield of a product. To an amplitude determining circuit, a characteristic adjustment register for changing setting of an amplitude threshold adjustment mechanism for distinguishing a burst and a squelch from each other provided for the amplitude determining circuit is coupled. The characteristic adjustment register is controlled by a self determination circuit. An output of the amplitude determination circuit is supplied to a time determining circuit and also to the self determination circuit. On the basis of the output of the amplitude determining circuit, the self determination circuit controls the characteristic adjustment register.

  • Publication number: 20060231590
Abstract: A glow discharge drilling apparatus enables switching of a continuous mode for continuously supplying electric power and an intermittent mode for intermittently supplying electric power. Electric power is supplied in the intermittent mode with respect to a sample easily melted by a heat due to a glow discharge and a sample easily broken by a force of sputtering due to a glow discharge or the like, whereby the sample is drilled so that an observation face capable of carrying out good observation can be obtained. When the sample is not easily melted and easily broken, the sample is drilled so that a good observation face can be efficiently obtained by supplying electric power in the continuous mode.

  • Patent number: 6183682
Abstract: Gas (air) is supplied into an oil transfer line extending between a front oil chamber of an injection cylinder and an oil tank during a molding cycle, excluding an injection step, thereby preventing impact which would otherwise occur due to oil pressure generated upon start of injection in the injection step. Thus, immediately before the start of the injection step, the oil transfer line becomes empty of or almost empty of oil. Accordingly, even when high-pressure oil is supplied into the injection cylinder in an impactive manner upon start of injection, pressure oil ejected from the injection cylinder flows swiftly through the oil transfer line.

  • Patent number: 5521679
Abstract: An image forming apparatus for electrostatically transferring a latent image formed on a photoconductive drum or similar image carrier to a recording medium held by a clamp drum or similar medium conveying member. The clamp drum has a cylinder or base made of aluminum, a conductive rubber layer covering the cylinder, and an overcoat layer covering the rubber layer and higher in electric resistance than the rubber layer. A bias voltage for latent image transfer is applied while the rubber layer is connected to ground. The photoconductive drum and clamp drum are pressed against each other by a predetermined force, the former following the rotation of the latter. The photoconductive drum is provided with a photoconductor having a great electrostatic capacity, thereby preventing the effective transfer voltage at the time of image transfer from increasing.

  • Patent number: 5245396
Abstract: A color image forming apparatus of the type recording a register mark on a recording medium for registering the leading edges of images of respective colors to form a color image. The apparatus forms the register mark on the medium outside of the effective area of a main image and such that the mark extends perpendicular to an intended direction of medium feed. The register mark is developed in cyan and in the highest density to insure accurate register of colors. The register mark is cut off together with the leading edge of the medium.

  • Patent number: 5202534
Abstract: A developing apparatus using a liquid developer and a developing head located to face a path along which a recording medium carrying, for example, an electrostatic latent image thereon is transported. A groove is formed in the surface of the head that faces the transport path. After development, the liquid remaining at the corner defined by the upper inner portion of the groove and the medium is rapidly collected to allow a minimum of smear to occur on the part of the medium which will be transported later. When the transport of the medium should be interrupted during development due to, for example, a jam, the liquid in the groove is collected to prevent a great amount of liquid which would smear a drive roller and other transport members from being transferred from the head to the medium.

  • Patent number: 5172180
Abstract: Image forming equipment for performing a predetermined image forming operation by use of a stepwise drive source such as a stepping motor or pulse motor. Either one of a recording medium and a record head is driven by a pulse motor, and whether or not it has reached a predetermined position is determined. While such a decision as to the position of the recording medium or the record head is under way, the displacement per step is changed over to a displacement per step smaller than a displacement to be effected while the predetermined image forming operation is under way.
