    Abstract: A printer case permits paper to be placed in a printer or the ink ribbon to be replaced without the need to remove the cover or the paper shelf. The case comprises a cover mounted on the upper surface of the case and a paper shelf mounted so as to be swingable about its rear end. Projection portions are formed at opposite sides of the upper surface of the shelf. The cover is swingable about its rear end and an opening having a given width is formed between the rear end of the shelf and the front end of the cover such that when the cover and the shelf are opened, the projection portions engage the front end of the cover to maintain the cover and the shelf in an open state.

Connectors connect each of the interface circuits to a respective printer. A storage arrangement stores test printing data. A control circuit is connected to select one of the interface circuits and to transmit the test printing data from the storage arrangement to the respective printer for controlling the respective printer to print the test printing data.

    Abstract: A printer comprising a printing mechanism, a housing for accommodating the printing mechanism, and a rotatable cover for opening and closing an opening in an upper surface of the housing. The cover has a small opening through which a single sheet of paper printed by the printing mechanism is dischargeable. A rotatable small cover is provided at the small opening for closing and opening the small opening. A receiver which receives the printed sheet of paper when the small cover is open is mounted removably.

    Abstract: A housing for an impact printer has a case body and a cover thereof. They define therebetween an opening for the passage of the paper to be printed and the printed paper. A paper shelf lies over the top surface of the case body, and supported at one end rotatably away from the case body. The end of the paper shelf is located in the vicinity of the opening, and spaced apart from the case body and the cover only to the extent required for the passage of the paper to be printed and the printed paper. The top surface of the case body has at least one projection extending transversely of the paper to be printed. The paper shelf has a lower surface facing the top surface of the case body and formed with at least one projection extending transversely of the paper to be printed. This projection is spaced apart from the projection on the case body longitudinally of the paper to be printed.
