  • Patent number: 7549361
Abstract: A vibration damping device is described that dampens vibration produced during the conversion of rotational motion into reciprocal motion. The damping is performed using a simple structure wherein first and second conversion mechanisms are symmetrically arranged with respect to a plane of symmetry, first and second rotating shafts rotate opposite to each other at a constant speed, and the rotational motion is converted into reciprocal motion. The total of mass acting on gravity centers of a first balancer and a second balancer is approximately equal to the total of mass reciprocally driven by a first driving shaft and a second driving shaft. Both gravity centers are positioned 180 degrees to the first driving shaft and second driving shaft across the axes of the first rotating shaft and second rotating shaft. As a consequence, the forces in the direction of an axis can be balanced suppressing vibration.

  • Publication number: 20060168821
Abstract: A vibration damping device that damps vibration produced during the conversion of rotational motion into reciprocal motion. The damping is performed using a simple structure, and the device can be easily downsized. A first converting mechanism and a second converting mechanism are symmetrically arranged with an imaginary plane as a plane of symmetry, a first rotating shaft and a second rotating shaft rotate opposite to each other at a constant speed, and the rotational motion is converted into reciprocal motion by a first crank rod and a second crank rod. As a result, forces in a horizontal direction balance. The total of mass acting on gravity centers of a first balancer and a second balancer is approximately equal to the total of mass reciprocally driven by a first driving shaft and a second driving shaft. Further, both gravity centers are positioned so as to be opposed at 180 degrees to the first driving shaft and second driving shaft across the axes of the first rotating shaft and second rotating shaft.

  • Patent number: 6647749
Abstract: A yarn carrier comprises a carrier base, a reciprocator, a feeder, and a movement converter. The reciprocator is supported on the carrier base to move in reciprocation with a traveling direction of the carrier base. An engaging surface is temporarily engageable with an accompanying member of a carrier accompanying device. The feeder, has a main-yarn feeding hole and a plating-yarn feeding hole, and supports at least one of the yarn feeding holes to freely rotate about an axis in a longitudinal direction of the feeder. The movement converter converts reciprocating movement of the reciprocator into rotation movement of the yarn feeding holes provided in the feeder, such that when the reciprocator is moved with its engaging surface engaged with the accompanying member, the yarn feeding holes can be rotationally displaced to change a positional relationship between the main-yarn feeding hole and the plating-yarn feeding hole.
