  • Patent number: 4758301
Abstract: A handle adhering device wherein an adhesive is applied to one surface of a belt-like article, auxiliary pieces are adhered to the adhesive surface with predetermined spaces therebetween, the belt-like article is wound onto a reel-like shape, is cut into predetermined lengths to form a handle member in which adhesive surfaces are exposed at both ends, and the adhesive surfaces of the handle member are adhered to both side surfaces of an article. In this device the non-adhesive surface of the belt-like members are sucked onto an outer peripheral surface of a rotating drum and are paid out by predetermined lengths respectively, cut by a cutter as the drum rotates to form the handle members and lifted off of the rotation drum by adhesive arms passing through recesses in the drum to adhere the adhesive surfaces at both ends of the handle member.

  • Patent number: 4679685
Abstract: This invention is a commodity conveyor for use with an accumulating device wherein a pusher pushes box-shaped commodities off the conveyor in a perpendicular direction onto a second conveyor. The present invention provides a constant commodity flow rate, with individual commodities travelling at a fixed distance from each other, so that accumulation of the commodities can be made automatically. In one embodiment, the second conveyor includes a pair of endless chains connected by parallel cylindrical rollers. The speed of the pusher and the second conveyor are kept equal. In a second embodiment, sets of pairs of endless vertical belts are provided on either side of the commodity conveyor, gripping the individual commodities. With one set of belts travelling below conveyor speed, and another set travelling exactly at the same speed as the conveyor speed, it is possible to obtain the desired constant commodity flow rate and constant separation distance between commodities.

  • Patent number: 4610347
Abstract: A dividing device used in a commodity collecting device which aligns a predetermined number of commodities successively supplied by a conveyance conveyor and continually pushes them out sideways by a sideway pusher to regularly collect commodities on a stock yard, the dividing device including a floor onto which the collected commodity group is discharged by a discharge pusher, the floor being divided into front and rear floors with respect to the moving direction of the discharge pusher, the front floor on which a part of the commodities on the stock yard is discharged being designed to move in the same direction as the moving direction of the discharge pusher so as to separate only a part of the commodities, and rear pusher engagable with the rear end of the commodity group being provided above the stationary rear floor so that the remaining part of the commodities may be pushed out onto the front floor from which the commodities have been discharged.
