  • Patent number: 5943353
Abstract: A laser light source apparatus and a control method for automatically sitting the temperature of a KTP crystal to an optimal temperature, and to follow up in variations of the optimal temperature. A predetermined temperature step is periodically added to a temperature corresponding to a reference potential, the addition of the temperature step is stopped when a temperature at which the UV laser output is substantially maximized, and a temperature step smaller than the temperature step .DELTA.T is successively subtracted from the temperature Tc, thereby automatically setting the KTP crystal temperature to the optimal temperature. Also, the difference between the two values of the UV laser output before and after each step addition of the temperature step is calculated and step subtraction is started when the difference becomes reversed in polarity, thus controlling the KTP crystal temperature so that the UV laser output is always maintained at the maximum.

  • Patent number: 5890947
Abstract: A drive unit and a toy using the same wherein a mechanical drive transmitting mechanism is not used and moving parts are made to pivot by means of magnetic interaction forces acting between coils and magnets and the response of the moving parts is quick and movements of the moving parts can be controlled accurately and subtly, and wherein fatiguing of the coil wires is prevented by the coil parts being fixed and the permanent magnets being made to move. By the drive unit being simplified and reduced in size, a drive unit and a toy using the same which can operate stably over a long period are provided while mass production benefits and cost reductions together with simplification of the manufacturing process are promoted. In the drive unit, a swinging body 21 is mounted on a swing shaft 20 and a pair of permanent magnets 26, 27 are mounted on the swinging body 21 side by side in the direction in which the swinging body 21 pivots.

  • Patent number: 5638524
Abstract: A digital signal processor that includes an instruction memory, a program control unit, and an instruction decoder. The instruction memory stores a sequence of instruction words including DSP instruction words and RISC instruction words. The program control unit outputs an instruction address to the instruction memory so as to select one instruction word in the instruction memory. Every DSP instruction word identifies one data processing operation and one data transfer operation to be performed. The DSP instruction words include a predefined DSP instruction word having separate source and destination fields for specifying register locations for data sources and data destinations. The RISC instruction words include a predefined RISC instruction word corresponding to the predefined DSP instruction word.
