  • Patent number: 7818863
Abstract: A window glass can be accurately and preferably mounted by correcting a displacement of a curved surface shape of the window glass in the crosswise direction even when there is a displacement of the curved surface shape of the window glass in the crosswise direction. A slit laser beam is irradiated with from slit laser beam irradiators 12c and 12d across the right and left ends of the window glass 6, the circumference of a window glass mounting opening 8, and a windshield pillar section 11; rotation adjustment of the window glass 6 is performed, based on a processed image obtained by image processing of images, which have been photographed with a CCD cameras 10c and 10d, of the slit laser beams, in such a way that clearances in the pressing direction at the right and left ends of the window glass 6 are the same as each other; and the window glass 6 is pressed onto a window glass mounting surface on the circumference of the window glass mounting opening 8 for mounting onto the surface.

  • Patent number: 6344629
Abstract: On a setting cart which is movable back and forth between a setting station and a vehicle body assembly station, there are provided floor panel setting members, side sill receiving members and side panel forcing members which force side panels toward a floor panel from a lateral outward. In the setting station, the floor panel and the side panels which are set in position on the setting cart are transferred to a jig which is disposed in a side portion of the vehicle body assembly station. The side panels are welded to the floor panel by welding robots which are disposed at a level below the jig. In the above-described arrangement, the side sill receiving members and the side panel forcing members are set on the setting cart so as to be retractable into shunted positions free from interference with the welding robots in welding operation. The welding work by the welding robots can thus be started without waiting for the returning of the setting cart to the setting station.

  • Patent number: 5895585
Abstract: A device for confirming an open state of a welding gun having a reciprocating mechanism or moving a movable electrode into and out of contact with a workpiece has a pin feeler mounted on an end of a cylinder of the reciprocating mechanism and movable into and out of contact with a piston movably disposed in the cylinder. The device also has a helical compression spring for resiliently biasing the pin feeler, a housing accommodating the biasing means, and a proximity switch fixedly mounted in the housing. When the piston moves in a direction to open the welding gun, the piston presses and moves the pin feeler until an end of the pin feeler is detected by the proximity switch to confirm the open state of the welding gun. The open state of the welding gun can be detected without being adversely affected by dust and dirt particles, grease, and a mist in the cylinder. The device can be assembled highly efficiently.
