  • Publication number: 20050043498
Abstract: The present invention has for its object to provide a method of producing fluoropolymers with high productivity under comparatively low temperature and low pressure conditions which are conducive to reduced cost of commercial-scale production equipment. The present invention is directed to a method of producing a fluoropolymer which comprises polymerizing a radical polymerizable monomer in a defined reaction-field, said radical polymerizable monomer comprising a fluorine-containing ethylenic monomer and said defined reaction-field being in supercriticality-expression state with a monomer density [?m]?monomer critical density [?0] ratio of [?m/?0] not less than 1.1.

  • Publication number: 20040246376
Abstract: Video contents are presented in the forms requested by viewers in a quick and accurate manner based on a request condition at a video viewing side. In a content delivery server 5, a content extraction part 5A inquires the presence or absence of video contents, which belong to a requested classification, to a content database 4 based on a content classification request 1E-1 in query information 1E, converts the video contents into the form of a content URI list 5C, and sends them to a content processing part 5D along with a content view form request 1E-2. The content processing part 5D requests, based on the content view form request 1E-2, the whole or parts of video contents needed to be presented according to the requested view form among the video contents of view candidates designated by the URI list 5C to the content database 4, grabs and processes video contents comprising video data 3A and metadata 3B, so that a content delivery part 5F delivers the video contents thus processed to a user terminal 1.

  • Patent number: 6828007
Abstract: A flat plate made of a cycloolefin polymer comprising at least 30% by weight, based on the cyclopolefin polymer, of repeating units (A) having an alicyclic structure. The repeating units (A) comprises at least 30% by weight, based on the repeating units (A), of repeating units (A-i) having no norbornane structure. The cycloolefin polymer has a weight average molecular weight of 5,000 to 50,000. The flat plate is especially useful as a light guide plate.

  • Patent number: 6682797
Abstract: A container comprising a body made of a thermoplastic resin and a lid made of a thermoplastic resin, characterized in that at least one of the body and the lid is molded from a thermoplastic cyclic olefin resin. Said container hardly causes contamination of the content therein with water or organic substances permeating through the container from the outside or released from the container per se, and, besides, hardly causes contamination of the content with fine dust in handling.

  • Patent number: 6511756
Abstract: A thermoplastic dicyclopentadiene ring-opening polymer obtained by ring-opening polymerization of a monomer component containing a dicyclopentadiene monomer, characterized in that polycyclic rings which are repeating units of the polymer are bonded in cis-position relative to the carbon-carbon double bond of the main chain of the polymer in 50 mol % or more of the repeating units based on the total repeating units and the content of a low-molecular weight component of 2,000 or less in molecular weight is 10% by weight or less based on the total polymer components, and a hydrogenation product obtained by hydrogenating the carbon-carbon unsaturated bond of the thermoplastic dicyclopentadiene ring-opening polymer.
