  • Patent number: 5452380
Abstract: In a method and system for imaging a text by using a different font than that designated when formatting or by changing a character size, a row area width a character sequence width and a total blank width at imaging are calculated based on row area information for arranging rows of the text, character sequence information of words of each row, character size information for layouting and character size information for imaging, the total blank width is substantially evenly divided to calculate a word interval. A starting word is positioned at a right edge of the row area and other words are positioned with the word interval to determine the character sequence position for imaging, and the rows are outputted. Thus, the word interval is properly adjusted, no words are split and natural imaging is attained.

  • Patent number: 4931953
Abstract: A line thickening method and system therefor, which holds skeleton line data of characters consisting of the kinds of lines relative to the types of shapes of lines comprising a character and sequence of coordinates of a plurality of points providing the end positions of the skeleton lines, the thickening process utilizes the kinds of lines of the end positions of the skeleton lines inside a character box for each character, and whenever necessary, one of a plurality of processes is selected for thickening, wherein thickening width data are previously stored for the right and left sides of the direction of each skeleton line viewing from one of the end positions of the skeleton line.

  • Patent number: 4853872
Abstract: In a system wherein a plurality of processors have instruction sets which are different at least in part from one another, it is possible for any processor to generate the object program. This is accomplished by generating object program sections inherent to the processors and the remaining sections which are common to the processors in the same object program.

  • Patent number: 4733386
Abstract: First label data including a file name, a location at which the writing of the file data is to be started, and a particular end address is written into a file label area before the file data of a file is written, the file data is written from the above-described writing start location, the first label data is invalidated after the end of writing, and second label data including the file name, the location at which the writing of the file data is to be started, and the end address of the area in which the file data has been actually written is then written after the writing has been finished.

  • Patent number: 4152763
Abstract: In a multi-processor where an execution unit is shared with a plurality of instruction control units, a control system for the multi-processor includes small-scale execution units provided corresponding to the instruction control units, each small-scale execution unit executing specific instructions which are of high frequency of use and are simplified, and a control unit for controlling the selection of the small-scale execution unit and the shared execution unit.
