  • Patent number: 7273372
Abstract: A dental articulator includes a lower jaw member, two pillars each extending vertically upwardly from the lower jaw member. The pillars each carry a ball, which correspond to a human mandibular condyle. The articulator further includes an upper jaw member disposed over the lower jaw member and carrying housings each provided on either side of a rear portion of said upper jaw member. Each of the balls is received in one of the housings so that the upper jaw member is vertically pivotable about the balls. Each housing includes a top wall coupled to the upper jaw member so as to be vertically movable relative to the upper jaw member while kept in contact with one of the balls and configured to be fixed to the upper jaw member at any position, and a rear wall coupled to the upper jaw member so as to be movable back and forth while kept in contact with one of the balls and configured to be fixed to the upper jaw member.

  • Publication number: 20060225875
Abstract: An interior of an air conditioning case is partitioned into a first air passage extending from an inside air suction port to a foot opening portion and a second air passage extending from an outside air suction port is disposed at a side of the first air passage to detect a temperature of air blown out from the evaporator disposed in the first air passage and the second air passage. An operation of the compressor for supplying the refrigerant to the evaporator is intermitted by comparing the temperature detected by the temperature sensor and the set temperature set in advance, and the set temperature is changed to be higher according to an increase in the temperature of outside air. In this way, it is possible to prevent the frosting of the evaporator in winter season, when the inside air is introduced into the first air passage and the outside air is introduced into the second air passage.

  • Patent number: 6397942
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle includes a front air-conditioning unit for adjusting a temperature of air blown toward a front seat side in a passenger compartment, and a rear air-conditioning unit for adjusting a temperature of air blown toward a rear seat side in the passenger compartment. In the front air-conditioning unit, a ratio between an amount of air passing through a front heater core and an amount of air bypassing the front heater core is adjusted by an air mixing door, and the temperature of air blown toward the front seat side in the passenger compartment is adjusted by the rotation of the air mixing door. On the other hand, in the rear air-conditioning unit, a flow control valve for controlling a flow rate of hot water flowing into a rear heater core is provided, and the temperature of air blown toward the rear seat side in the passenger compartment is adjusted by the flow control valve.

  • Patent number: 6360958
Abstract: In an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, an amount of hot water flowing from an engine into a heater core is adjusted by a flow control valve so that temperature of air blown from the heater core is adjusted. A water pump driven by the engine is disposed in a water circuit so that hot water circulates between the engine and the heater core. The flow control valve includes a bypass passage through which hot water bypasses the heater core and a pressure response valve for adjusting an opening degree of the bypass passage. An opening degree of the flow control valve is controlled by a control unit so that the amount of hot water flowing into the heater core is adjusted. In the air conditioning apparatus, the opening degree of the flow control valve is corrected by the control unit to reduce variation in the amount of hot water flowing into the heater core due to variation in a rotation speed of the engine.

  • Patent number: 6308770
Abstract: According to the present invention, an air conditioning apparatus include a case partitioned into a first air passage and a second air passage by partition plates (16-19), a heat exchanger such as a heater core. The heater exchanger is sandwiched between the partition plates. Further, the heat exchanger is formed by laminating tubes and a fin while the fin is disposed in each main air passage formed between tube walls of the tubes. Each end of the partition plates is opposite to each end of the tubes so that the partition plates are parallel to the tubes. In this way, airflows which respectively have passed from the air first and second passages pass through the heat exchanger without being mixed with each other therein. As a result, the separation characteristics of airflows can be improved.

  • Patent number: 6213198
Abstract: An electric element (Peltier element composite) is disposed in a boundary between an outside air introduction passage and an inside air introduction air passage (114). The Peltier element composite absorbs heat from the inside air in the inside air introduction passage to cool and dehumidify the inside air and radiates heat to outside air in the outside air introduction passage. The inside air and outside air are blown out from a defroster air outlet through a second air passage. In this way, it is possible to increase an amount of introduced inside air and to improve the heating performance while maintaining the defrosting performance.

  • Patent number: 6145754
Abstract: According to the present invention, even when the two-layer mode in which the inside air is introduced into a first air passage and the outside air is introduced into a second air passage is set, it is further determined whether air mix doors are controlled at the maximum hot positions. When it has been determined that the air mix doors are controlled at the maximum hot positions, the inside/outside air introduction mode is still set to the two-layer mode, because the temperature difference due to the outside air temperature is small, however, otherwise, the inside/outside air introduction mode is not set to the two-layer mode but is set to a mode in which the outside air is introduced into the both air passages. In this way, it is possible to prevent the difference between the temperatures of the air blown out from a defroster opening portion and a foot opening portion from being increased due to the temperature of the outside air.

  • Patent number: 6142864
Abstract: A blower unit includes a centrifugal fan, a fan casing forming a scroll-shaped air passage and accommodating the centrifugal fan, and a partition wall for partitioning an interior of the fan casing into first and second air passages in which different kinds of airs flow, respectively, in the axial direction. The partition wall is molded integrally to the fan casing so as to extend linearly from the inner wall surface of the fan casing toward a radial inside of the fan. The fan casing includes two divided cases having a divided face in the axial direction. In this way, the number of divided cases can be as well as the number of steps of assembling the fan casing can be reduced so that the work efficiency for assembling the fan casing is improved.

  • Patent number: 6079484
Abstract: According to the present invention, in an air-mixing type air conditioning apparatus in which an air-mixing door is disposed at an air upstream side of a heater core and without having a hot water control valve for shutting off a flow of hot water into the heater core, a warm air passage formed at an air downstream side of the heater core is narrowed by a foot door in a face mode where a face air passage is closed by a face door. In this way, in the maximum cooling operation, with the foot door, it is possible to favorably suppress the air heated by hot water in the heater core from being mixed into cool air by natural convection.

  • Patent number: 6070425
Abstract: In an air conditioning apparatus, an evaporator is disposed in an air-conditioning case to be inclined relative to a horizontal direction and to form a lower space below the evaporator. Air flows through the evaporator from a lower side toward an upper side thereof in the air-conditioning case. The lower space is partitioned by a partition member into an air-blown space and a drain space, and a drain guide member is disposed in the drain space to approximately contact a lower end portion of the inclined evaporator, where condensed water is gathered. Therefore, it can prevent air from hitting from below against the lower end portion of the evaporator. Consequently, the condensed water that has been gathered at the lower end portion of the inclined evaporator can be discharged rapidly along the drain guide member without being affected by the flow of air, and drips to a bottom surface of the air-conditioning case.

  • Patent number: 5857905
Abstract: An air conditioning apparatus includes an air conditioning case having therein first and second air passages partitioned from each other. First and second fans are respectively disposed in the first and second air passages, and an outer diameter of the first fan is smaller than that of the second fan. Therefore, an air volume relative to a total pressure in the first fan is greatly changed as compared with the second fan. Thus, when an operation mode is switched from a foot air mode to a foot/defroster air mode or from the foot/defroster air mode to the foot air mode, an opening degree of a defroster door is changed slightly.
