  • Publication number: 20110265291
Abstract: A slide fastener where each fastener element includes an upper half element portion disposed at a first surface side of a fastener tape and a lower half element portion disposed at a second surface side of the fastener tape. The upper half element portion includes a first tape-sandwiching portion and a first head portion of a tapered form that extends from the first tape-sandwiching portion. The upper half element portion has a tapered portion that gradually decreases in a dimension between front and rear side surfaces, in the tape length direction, of at least the first tape-sandwiching portion as it goes upward. Each fastener element can be lightweight, and the fastener element can look like a metal fastener element.

  • Patent number: 7111367
Abstract: This invention relates to a concealed-type slider. Side walls are erected on both sides of a bottom plate of a body and a top end of each side wall is bent to form a flange. A guide portion is provided by forming a down-grade slope inclined from a leading end of a shoulder opening side of the flange between the flange and the side wall. The leading end of the flange provided with this guide portion is disposed at right angle to or tilted more or less toward a rear mouth side with respect to a side face of a guide post. Consequently, when an insert pin is inserted, the guide portion guides a fastener tape smoothly and when sliding the slider in its closing direction, the sliding operation can be executed smoothly.

  • Patent number: 6851162
Abstract: A reinforcement tape is stuck to an outer front surface of a fastener tape and a fastener element removed portion at a space portion, in which fastener elements are removed and to which the separable bottom end stop of the concealed type slide fastener, for example, a insert pin or the like is attached, by ultrasonic welding. The reinforcement tape may be, for example, a tape whose front surface is made of a thermoplastic elastomer film while its rear surface is made of hot melt adhesive agent. At the same time of the above sticking, an edge portion is formed into a U shape and its surface is reinforced and then, the insert pin or the like is attached to this portion. The fastener tape itself does not come into contact with a diamond of a slider, even if outer face of the U-shaped edge portion comes into sliding contact with the diamond, so the fastener tape is protected from being worn or damaged.

  • Patent number: 6704975
Abstract: A separable bottom end stop for a concealed slide fastener, wherein reinforcement portions for reinforcing bent edge portions of a fastener tape are molded integrally with a box pin and a separable pin using resin, such that the reinforcement portions are swollen from a top surface of the tape, while the reinforcement portion on the box pin side is formed such that a bottom end thereof is in the same plane as the box pin. A front end of the reinforcement portion on the separable pin side has a protruded portion being protruded in parallel to the separable pin and a box has an L-shaped engaging portion and a contact portion provided on a surface thereof. When the box pin is inserted into and fixed to the box and the separable pin is inserted into the box, the protruded portion makes contact with the engaging portion.
