  • Publication number: 20240125055
Abstract: A bonded concrete walkway segment includes a walkway body formed of a concrete material, a duct extending through the walkway body from a first end of the walkway body to an opposite second end of the walkway body, a tendon including a strand extending through the duct, and a tendon grout filled within the duct around the strand. The tendon grout is cured to fix the strand in the duct.

  • Patent number: 5371760
Abstract: A system for measuring a multipath radio channel impulse response by cross-correlating digital samples of a received pseudo-random signal with a digital copy of the transmitted signal. A transmitter within the system repeatedly transmits the pseudo-random signal across a multipath radio channel. A receiver within the system receives the transmitted signal, as well as delayed versions of the original signal, and digitally samples the received signals. A computer then cross-correlates the samples of the received signal with the digital stored version of the transmitted signal to produce a measure of the impulse response of the multipath radio channel.

  • Patent number: 4702273
Abstract: The disclosed electrically controlled starter valve (10) regulates the flow of compressed gas to an air turbine starter (11) and precisely controls the way in which the flow is reduced after start of the aircraft engine. The electronic control system (30) is responsive to previously uncompensated for engine system variables. The main valve is a butterfly valve (12) controlled by an air actuator (14). A solenoid valve (16) in the air supply line (15, 17) to the actuator (14) is switched on and off at discrete intervals to provide for positioning of the butterfly valve (12). A position transducer (R2) senses position of the butterfly valve (12) and provides a position feedback signal. A pressure transducer (R1) senses pressure at the inlet to the butterfly valve (12) and provides an inlet pressure feedback signal. The position and pressure feedback signals are fed to an electronic control circuit (30) and are used to compensate for changing conditions to provide a consistent valve (12) closing pattern.

  • Patent number: 3974887
Abstract: An apparatus allowing the ticket printer of a computing scale to be used for printing normal weight, value and price per unit weight labels or alternately for printing labels indicating a manually entered selling price. The selling price label can be used in sale by unit or sale by count merchandise pricing. Dual use of the normal scale printer for preparing either type of label reduces the equipment needed at a pricing station in addition to lowering the investment required for machine printed merchandise pricing. Automatic changeover from the weighed value to the sale by unit mode of operation in response to scale weight indication is also disclosed.
