  • Patent number: 8542683
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to dynamically adjusting bitloading for multiple destinations on a network.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 30, 2008
Date of Patent: September 24, 2013
    Assignee: Entropic Communications, Inc.
    Inventors: Kenneth Chu, Inderjit Singh
  • Patent number: 8427944
Abstract: Different bitloading may be applied to different subsets of an Multicast (MC) group. Alternatively, the same bitloading may be applied to several or all of the subsets of an MC group. Such subset, or MC subgroup, may be formed as a result of considering bitloading capabilities of nodes of an MC group. In one embodiment, information is transmitted multiple times, once for each MC subgroup, each subgroup with a different bitloading. Such a process may improve overall throughput and efficiency for delivering packets to nodes of a network.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 30, 2008
Date of Patent: April 23, 2013
    Assignee: Entropic Communications, Inc.
    Inventors: Kenneth Chu, Ronald Lee
  • Publication number: 20090323684
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to dynamically adjusting bitloading for multiple destinations on a network.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 30, 2008
    Publication date: December 31, 2009
    Inventors: Kenneth Chu, Inderjit Singh
  • Publication number: 20090307305
Abstract: A method and apparatus of supporting more than the maximum number of clients allowed in a network. Such limitations exist because of resource limitations, such as memory and other hardware. In one embodiment of the disclosed method and apparatus, a network controller temporarily drops a client out of a network to allow another client, which is currently not in the network and wishes to be active, to join the network. Information about the link between the dropped client and the network controller is stored to allow the dropped client to easily rejoin the network.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20090285212
Abstract: The subject matter disclosed herein relates to determining a bitloading to be applied to one or more subgroups of a multicast group.
    Type: Application
    Filed: June 30, 2008
    Publication date: November 19, 2009
    Inventors: Kenneth Chu, Ronald Lee
  • Publication number: 20050273707
Abstract: Systems and methods provide a mechanism to create and maintain web pages and other types of output pages. The system and methods use an author markup language (AML) to define output pages. Additionally, a Component Markup Language (CML) may be used to define components that may be referenced by the AML. The AML and CML may be translated to an intermediate format, which may then be further processed at runtime to combine dynamic data with the intermediate format to produce the output page.
