  • Publication number: 20100301245
Abstract: An assembly for mounting tube pinch type solenoid valves. The assembly comprises a mounting panel, a rear panel, and at least one rod for connecting the mounting panel to the rear panel. The mounting panel has at least one aperture for receiving a tube pinch type solenoid valve. The rear panel has at least one power jack in register with the at least one aperture. The assembly makes it possible for tube pinch type solenoid valves to be inserted and removed from the front of the mounting panel. The rear panel incorporates an integral solenoid driver module for each solenoid valve in a given assembly. Each integral solenoid drive module can accommodate a plurality of valves. The arrangement provides a sufficient amount of clear space for efficient cooling flow of air between the mounting panel and the rear panel. An unobstructed flow of air is desired in order to dissipate heat generated by the tube pinch type solenoid valves.

  • Patent number: 6869425
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided with a housing, a pump head in the housing, and a receiving path defined along a housing and pump head for receiving tubing. Two spaced-apart temperature sensors are provided. One temperature sensor is located adjacent the tubing in a heat conduction path along which heat flows between the sensor and the tubing. The other sensor is located outside of the heat conduction path for sensing ambient temperature. The pump operating speed is adjusted as a function of the sensed temperatures. This accommodates the temperature-dependent rate of recovery of the tubing from its peristaltically deformed configuration to its original configuration.

  • Patent number: 6261262
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided with a housing, a pump head in the housing, and a receiving path defined along a housing and pump head for receiving tubing. A door is pivotable about an axis between a closed position covering the receiving path and an open position exposing the receiving path. A carrier is provided on the housing for holding an anti-free flow slide clamp on the tubing in the receiving path. The carrier is movable relative to the housing so as to automatically effect closure of the tubing by the slide clamp when the door is opened.

  • Patent number: 5868712
Abstract: A peristaltic pump is provided with a housing, a pump head in the housing, and a receiving path defined along a housing and pump head for receiving tubing. An air sensor assembly in the pump has a slot for receiving a section of the tubing in the receiving path. A position covering the receiving path and an open position exposing the receiving path. An engaging member is provided for pushing the tubing in the slot. The engaging member is pivotally mounted to the door for rotation about an axis parallel to the door pivot axis. The engaging member has a ram for contacting the tubing. The orientation of the ram relative to the door can change as the ram enters the slot when the door closes so that the tubing is pushed relatively evenly and along a substantially straight line into the slot.
