  • Publication number: 20160162828
Abstract: A system is disclosed including an electronic display to portray staffing workflow and pipeline management information for a plurality of staffing projects where the plurality of staffing projects are sorted based on a predetermined priority, a plurality of data entry systems configured to display at least one staffing project at one of the data entry systems and with an input device to provide updated information regarding the at least one staffing project, wherein the updated information is then displayed on the electronic display, and a point based accrual system configured to be applied to the staffing workflow and pipeline management information for each staffing project wherein a point value is assigned to each staffing project and wherein the point value for each staffing project is displayed on the electronic display in association with the respective staffing workflow and pipeline management information. A method and another system are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7408898
Abstract: A transceiver for facilitating two-way wireless communication between a baseband application and other nodes in a wireless network, wherein the transceiver provides baseband communication networking and necessary configuration and control functions along with transmitter, receiver, and antenna functions to enable the wireless communication. More specifically, the transceiver provides a long-range wireless duplex communication node or channel between the baseband application, which is associated with a mobile or fixed space, air, water, or ground vehicle or other platform, and other nodes in the wireless network or grid. The transceiver broadly comprises a communication processor; a flexible telemetry transceiver including a receiver and a transmitter; a power conversion and regulation mechanism; a diplexer; and a phased array antenna system, wherein these various components and certain subcomponents thereof may be separately enclosed and distributable relative to the other components and subcomponents.

  • Publication number: 20040184749
Abstract: A fiber optic cable comprises at least one optical fiber, a tube surrounding the optic fiber, a plurality of strength members positioned adjacent to the tube, and a structure for applying a compressive force to the strength members to couple the strength members to the tube. The structure for applying a compressive force to the strength members can comprise a helically wound tape encompassing the fiber optic cable. A method of constructing a fiber optic cable comprising the steps of providing at least one optical fiber within a tube, positioning a plurality of strength members adjacent to the tube, and applying a compression means to the strength members to couple the strength members to the tube, is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20040070466
Abstract: A distributed data transmitter (DTXR) which is an adaptive data communication microwave transmitter having a distributable architecture of modular components, and which incorporates both digital and microwave technology to provide substantial improvements in physical and operational flexibility. The DTXR has application in, for example, remote data acquisition involving the transmission of telemetry data across a wireless link, wherein the DTXR is integrated into and utilizes available space within a system (e.g., a flight vehicle). In a preferred embodiment, the DTXR broadly comprises a plurality of input interfaces; a data modulator; a power amplifier; and a power converter, all of which are modularly separate and distinct so as to be substantially independently physically distributable and positionable throughout the system wherever sufficient space is available.

  • Patent number: 5413829
Abstract: A package comprising a sealed container containing a roll of wall covering material which comprises a hydrophilic substrate layer, a pressure sensitive adhesive layer on one surface and, on the other surface, a decorative layer, usually including a layer of PVC or other plastics material. The wallcovering material is preferably self-wound on a roll. The moisture content of the wallcovering material is controlled in the package so as to provide a desired area of the product which falls between the area of the product where it is soaked in water under predetermined conditions and the area of the product when it is preconditioned under relatively dry, predetermined conditions. The moisture content is generally above the equilibrium content under normal ambient conditions so that any problems caused by expansion of the product in use under humid conditions, such as bubbling and raising of the edges of the material at seams, are minimised.

  • Patent number: 4828881
Abstract: A sheet substrate is coated on one side with a pressure sensitive adhesive and to the other side is applied a curable material, usually a foamable material. The coated substrate is heated to a temperature of at least 140.degree. C. to solidify the curable material and produce a profiled product in which the adhesive material retains its pressure sensitive adhesive properties. The curable material may be colored to produce a decorative effect and the product is useful as a wall covering or a decorative border for walls or ceilings or other use in interior decoration.
