  • Patent number: 6923574
Abstract: A flexible pouch of plastic material forms a container having opposed front and back walls, opposed closed side end walls and closed top and bottom walls, a handle formed in the front and back walls for gripping and manipulating the container, the handle comprising a frame member of plastic material having a central opening, the frame member being disposed within the front and back panels which are sealed together along at least the outer periphery of the frame member for snugly encapsulating the frame member in place between the front and back panels, and through openings in the front and back walls are coincident to the central opening of the frame member through which the hand of the user can extend for grasping one of the frame sides of the frame member.

  • Publication number: 20030230502
Abstract: A storage device includes a generally enclosed body including inner and outer areas. The inner area includes axially adjustable shelves for dividing the inner area into adjustable compartments, and the outer area includes a plurality of pockets disposed along a periphery of the body for facilitating storage of shoes within the pockets. A release mechanism provides and prevents access to the inner area when in respective opened and closed configurations. A connection mechanism is disposed adjacent a top of the body and affixable to a complementary connector to allow the storage device to be hung and thereby permit axial extension of the body when in a hung configuration and otherwise permit collapse of the body. In other configurations, instead of adjustable shelves, the storage device may include an independently rotatable inner body including a plurality of pockets, or individual shoe storage bodies mounted on rails.

  • Patent number: 6257451
Abstract: A manually actuated pump sprayer has a cover on the plunger head which is shifted relative thereto, the cover having an opening for exposing the discharge orifice when relatively shifted. In a non-use condition a portion of the cover side wall fluid tightly seals the orifice closed by engaging a circular seal bead provided on the outer face of the orifice cup concentric with the orifice. The outer face of the orifice cup may be textured to increase the hang time of any residual liquid product at that area which is likewise prevented from drying to avoid clogging by the sealed condition presented between the cover and the circular seal bead in the non-use position.

  • Patent number: 6223951
Abstract: An anti-clog pump sprayer has a cover mounted for independent reciprocation on a plunger head, the cover having a cupped spring biased portion covering the discharge orifice on the head to avoid clogging on product drying, and being lifted off the orifice during the relative shift for uncovering the orifice in readiness for spraying. The sprayer may also have a product retraction device on the plunger head in communication with the discharge orifice, a projection on the underside of the cover top wall for actuating the device at the commencement of the plunger return stroke for creating a slight sub-atmospheric pressure for suctioning any residual product inwardly of the orifice to thereby avoid clogging.

  • Patent number: 5738250
Abstract: A manually actuated pump dispenser has a water seal for maintaining the container vent ports sealed closed during pumping until at or near the end of the pressure stroke whereupon a vent path through which only air is permitted travel into the container, is open as the path is shielded against water entering the vent path when pumping in a wet environment as when dispensing hair shampoo or hair conditioner. In a plunger lock-down position of shipping and storage, leakage of product through the vent ports is substantially avoided during a superatmospheric condition within the container.

  • Patent number: 5480076
Abstract: A retractable clothes hanger (10) having a pair of garment support arms that can be positioned in either a normal, extended position or a retracted position. When the arms are retracted, the clothes hanger can be easily inserted and removed from a narrow necked garment such as a turtleneck sweater. The first and second garment support arms are integrally attached to a first and second inner section respectfully with each inner section having a first and second engagement end. The two engagement ends, which are designed to rotatably intermesh, include a plurality of hook bores that when intermeshed, a notch is formed. A hinge spring is then inserted into the notch which normally biases the two garment support arms in their extended position. Into the plurality of bores is inserted the hanger support hook which in addition to functioning as a hanger hook also rotatably secures the two garment support arms. Two push nuts are positioned to secure the hook to the two garment arms.
