  • Patent number: 7436082
Abstract: The present invention provides rocking motion charging device using Faraday's principle. The rocking motion charging device features at least three rocking devices for generating electricity and a gimbaled disk or member coupled to the at least three rocking devices, responsive to a rocking motion, for moving in two dimensions to generate the electricity. The at least three rocking devices may include pivots, linkage or both for pivotally coupling to the gimbaled disk or member; include magnets that pass through stationary coils due to the rocking motion of the gimbaled disk or member and generate electricity due to Faraday's principle; include four rocking devices that are equi-spaced with respect to one another; include one or more devices to store the electricity, including batteries or capacitors; or some combination thereof. The two dimensions include movement both forwards and backwards and side-to-side, including movement caused by the rocking motion of a marine vessel.

  • Patent number: 5411088
Abstract: The filter of the present invention overcomes the aforementioned problems by separating gas and solid particulate matter from liquid as the wellbore fluid passes through the filter. The apparatus comprises a solid tube encased in a perforated tube which extends beyond the end of the solid tube. A top cap is attached to one end of each tube and holds the tubes concentric to each other. A bottom cap is attached to the end of the perforated tube which extends beyond the solid tube. An annulus is defined by the inner surface of the perforated tube and the outer surface of the solid tube. The top cap has a bore extending therethrough which is in fluid communication with the solid tube. The filter is generally used in conjunction with a low volume pump located adjacent to and in fluid communication with the top cap. As the pump operates, wellbore fluid is drawn through the perforations of the perforated tube into the annulus between the perforated and solid tubes.

  • Patent number: 4970983
Abstract: A horn for connection to a pressurized fluid container for sounding multiple tones has a horn body defining a sound chamber and at least one tone altering aperture extending through the horn body into the sound chamber, a sound producing mechanism located within the horn body adjacent the sound chamber, and a trigger assembly for actuating the pressurized fluid container for release of pressurized fluid to flow through the sound producing mechanism into the sound chamber to produce a sound. The horn, when the trigger mechanism is actuated, produces sound having a first tone when the tone altering aperture is unobstructed and a second tone when the aperture is obstructed.
