  • Patent number: 7281625
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and apparatus for a street sweeper having a conveyor assembly. The conveyor assembly has a pair of rollers and a conveyor belt connected therebetween. The conveyor assembly is provided with debris skirts to lift the edge of the conveyor belt to prevent debris from traveling over the edge of the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt is formed into a concave orientation. The debris skirts is also connected to a rub rail to provide a dynamic seal along the length of the conveyor belt edges. The conveyor assembly is also provided with a roller scraper for removing debris accumulated upon the rollers. The roller scraper is adapted to envelop a portion of the roller. The conveyor assembly is also provided with a liquid delivery system for assisting in the removal of debris from the roller.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6226227
Abstract: A manual scan sonar integrates multiple technologies into a compact and low cost single beam sonar having the ability to generate wide sector views comparable to that of much larger and more expensive multiple-beam sonar units. The manual scan sonar uses a piezoelectric transducer, orientation and motion sensors, a power preamplifier and amplifier, and a microcomputer with a display, all contained within a compact waterproof housing. In operation, the user scans the sonar across an area, and the orientation and motion sensors monitor the user's natural human motion to provide bearing information which is processed and stored by the microcomputer. The ultrasonic information provided by the sound echoes is displayed on the display screen of the computer as a continuous sector. This sonar may be adapted for either diver-held or topside use.

  • Patent number: 4091972
Abstract: Improved apparatus useful in conjunction with a forage wagon to allow forage material to be removed from the wagon by dispensing it laterally toward the side of the wagon or, alternatively, to dispense the material directly out the front of the wagon to the area beneath the wagon such as in the filling of a trench silo. The improved apparatus includes a lateral feed conveyer affixed to the front end of the forage box by a removable attachment apparatus. Bottom and top collecting pans located beneath the lateral feed conveyer form a removable delivery surface and are constructed of discrete sections which are mounted on rail members for selective removal and replacement.
