Abstract: A conveyor for transporting articles is disclosed. The conveyor is for transporting articles having an initial pitch, wherein the initial pitch of the articles is subsequently decreased and/or increased. After the subsequent increase and/or decrease in pitch, the initial pitch can then be restored or a different pitch obtained.

Abstract: A unique combination of several functions achieves a system by which consumers can validate the actual security status of a website before they decide to trust it, and therefore transact with it. In one example implementation, a security system includes a scanning engine that periodically and thoroughly scans the network and connected components of an on-line service such as a website. The results are stored and perhaps reported back to the service via alerts and the like. The website includes a “bug” which visitors can click on. By clicking, the visitors are also displayed web pages showing the security status of the website. Based on their review of such web pages, visitors can then decide whether to trust the website for further transactions.

Abstract: A method and system for taking data in any format, either in a database such as Oracle, SQL, or another common database, and dynamically combining it with geographic information, i.e., a map or aerial or satellite photograph or other image, allows the user to display that data on a map, to analyze that data geographically or spatially or merely to provide information from certain locations. The result can be presented to the user as a single image that can, if desired, be interactive, allowing the user to access additional information not displayed or not capable of displaying on the map.

Abstract: A keg for dispensing beer or other liquids under pressure is provided with a neckless spear arrangement. The spear comprises a body intended to be welded permanently to the keg with all parts of the spear assembled through that body. When so assembled escape is prevented so that in the event of interference by any unqualified person there is no risk of the spear being ejected as a missile.

Abstract: A control system having a stored program digital computer for transmitting commands to digital servos for one or a plurality of punch presses; for changing new commands to correct for preceding servo errors and/or mechanical tolerance errors in the servos; for monitoring machine tool and servo condition and supervising punching, tool change and positioning operations; and having provision for assisting in the generation of coded record command tapes on the basis of incremental and/or absolute dimensional input, on a time sharing basis with automatic operation of the servos from a previously generated record tape.

Abstract: A bulbholder which is intended for accurately positioning a filament of a bulb, particularly a quartz halogen bulb, relative to a lamp reflector comprises a sheet metal body which receives a base of the bulb. A plurality of deformable legs in the form of loops serve to connect the body with a pair of flanges on opposite sides of the body. The flanges are fixed to a support and accurate positioning of the bulb filament is effected by moving the body relative to the flanges as permitted by deformation of the legs.In one embodiment, the flanges are apertured and are rivetted to a ceramic support. In another embodiment, the flanges have arcuate lipped edges which are brazed to an annular surface on the support.
