  • Patent number: 11932194
Abstract: An airbag inflator includes a lower pressure vessel supporting an initiator assembly, a booster can centrally mounted in the lower pressure vessel and secured to the initiator assembly, and an energetics canister secured over the booster can such that the energetics canister is positioned radially between the lower pressure vessel and the booster can. An energetics cover encloses a circumferential space between the booster can and the energetics canister. A flow diverter closes the booster can and includes inlet vent openings downstream of the energetics cover. An upper pressure vessel positioned over the flow diverter and engaging the lower pressure vessel includes an exit orifice sealed with a rupturable membrane. A manifold is secured over the upper pressure vessel. The inflator increases combustion efficiency and lowers gaseous effluents.

  • Patent number: 11151678
Abstract: A citation system may receive data, including an image, from a handheld photo enforcement unit and issue a citation based on the image with minimal officer input. The citation system manipulates photos to identify license plate numbers involved in an event. The citation system requests identification from a driver database, issues a citation, and forwards the citation according to information from the driver database.

  • Patent number: 9280895
Abstract: A system and method automatically detect traffic violations on roadways or portions thereof that are restricted for use only by permitted vehicles. The system comprises a controller, a vehicle sensor, and a camera. The vehicle sensor detects vehicle movement on a restricted roadway. Data from the camera and the vehicle sensor are analyzed by the controller to detect a vehicle traveling on the restricted roadway, to gather static vehicle information to determine whether the detected vehicle is permitted to use the restricted roadway, and to determine whether movements of the detected vehicle on the restricted roadway constitute a violation of traffic rules in effect on the roadway. The method captures at least one image of a vehicle on a region of the roadway, detects a vehicle in the region, collects vehicle movement information, and detects a violation of traffic rules in effect using at least the collected vehicle movement information.

  • Patent number: 4517472
Abstract: A high voltage power supply is formed by three discrete circuits (12, 14, 16) energized by a battery (18) to provide a plurality of concurrent output signals floating at a high output voltage on the order of several tens of kilovolts. Each circuit has a regulator stage (20, 28, 36). In the first two circuits, the regulator stages are pulse width modulated and include adjustable resistances (R1, R2) for varying the duty cycles of pulse trains provided to corresponding oscillator stages while the third regulator stage includes an adjustable resistance (R3) for varying the amplitude of a steady signal provided to a third oscillator stage.

  • Patent number: 4057358
Abstract: A generally horizontal support table is provided including an upper surface and defining a transverse center line. A support member is supported from the table for guided rectilinear reciprocation toward and away from one side of the table in a plane normal to the upper surface of the table and the support member includes structure for supporting a rotatable chuck therefrom disposed above the upper surface of the table and in the aforementioned plane. The chuck faces toward the table and is adapted to rotatably support a drill bit. Further, a pair of abutment members overlie the upper surface of the table on opposite sides of the aforementioned plane and are supported from the table for guided movement toward and away from the plane along paths normal to the plane.
