  • Patent number: 8371146
Abstract: A track fitting garage door locking apparatus includes a male block with an internal housing and a key hole. A locking mechanism may be coupled to the internal housing and detachably coupled to the male block. A worm screw is coupled to the internal housing and passes through an opening of the guide track. A female block may be affixed to the guide track. The female block may include an axial bore aligned with the worm screw. A key may be removably interfitted within the key hole and thereby lock and unlock the lock mechanism such that rotational articulation of the male block causes simultaneous rotation of the male block, the internal housing and the worm screw. In this manner, the male block may be linearly reciprocated towards and away from the female block as the worm screw and the internal housing are simultaneously rotated in a corresponding direction.

  • Patent number: 7311424
Abstract: A combined work light and dual power cord device includes a light-emitting assembly including a protective cage with an access door. A handle is rotatably conjoined to the light-emitting assembly that has a corrugated outer surface. An axial bore is formed along an entire length thereof. A first hook is connected to a top end of the light-emitting assembly. A second hook is connected to a handle bottom end. Mechanisms are included for rotating the handle about a bottom end of the light-emitting assembly and rotating the second hook about the handle bottom end. Primary and secondary power cords are coupled to the handle. A mechanism is included for automatically and simultaneously distributing first and second currents to the primary and secondary power cords respectively so that the second current is only transmitted to the secondary power cord if the first current is passing through the primary power cord.

  • Publication number: 20050141216
Abstract: Modular service unit (10A) comprising a pair of elongate light fittings EACH comprising a reflector housing (14) having one or more light tubes (24). Either a bridging plate, or an intermediate housing (26), is releasably attached to or supported by adjacent longitudinal side edges (34) of each reflector housing (14), and forms a structural part of an auxiliary service facility. The auxiliary service facility can include, for example, air conditioning ducts or diffusers (17A), fire alarm detectors, fire sprinklers with flexible pipe connections, speakers, security sensors, and secondary light fittings. A plurality of modular service units may be incorporated in a suspended ceiling.
