  • Patent number: 9903687
Abstract: Laser systems are provided. In one aspect a laser system has a battery unit and a transistor having a source and a drain in series with the laser and the battery unit with the laser with the transistor having a source, and a gate that allows sufficient current to flow to the laser to allow the laser to emit light when a voltage at the gate is at a higher level and that does not allow sufficient current to flow to allow the laser to emit light when a voltage at the gate is at a lower level. A microcontroller is operable in an active mode and a reduced power mode having an activation input connected to a switch, a reduced power input connected in parallel with the capacitor and an output connected to the gate.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 20, 2016
Date of Patent: February 27, 2018
    Assignee: Crosman Corporation
Inventors: Jeffrey W. Mock, John A. Kowalczyk, Jr., Kenneth R. Vorndran, Michael W. Allen, Robert J. MacBlane

  • Patent number: 5218379
Abstract: A photographic material clamping apparatus includes a rotatable drum that has a longitudinally extending central axis, a longitudinal opening offset from the central axis, and a plurality of radial openings extending between the drum surface and the longitudinal opening. A cover member overlies the plurality of radial openings. A counterweight is positioned in the longitudinal opening and is connected to the cover member. Spring means act on the counterweight to urge the cover member towards the surface of the drum to grip a piece of photographic material inserted between the cover member and the drum.
