  • Patent number: 7757596
Abstract: A device for restraining a shell in a barrel of a disposable anti-armour weapon being stored in a compartment of a transport box. A stopper member is configured to be placed in the barrel in front of and adjacent to a shell loaded therein. The stopper member has at least three radially expandable legs, which are distributed circumferentially and configured to face and engage a tapered front surface of the shell in the barrel. The legs are provided with gripping elements on radially outermost surfaces thereof and configured to cut into the barrel wall upon a forward movement of the shell in the barrel.

  • Patent number: 4722277
Abstract: A safety means for an ordnance fuze. The arrangement includes an arming rotor (1) which is held in a safe position (A) by means of a half-shaft (6) which in the safe position of the rotor engages a first recess (7) located in the rotor. A clock mechanism (9) is provided so as to rotate the half-shaft (6) about its axis to a rotational position in which it no longer engages the rotor (1), thereby enabling the rotor to be rotated to its armed position. The rotor has provided therein a second recess (11) into which the half-shaft (6) is able to rotate should it be rotated at an excessively high speed, thereby returning the rotor to its safe position.

  • Patent number: 4515081
Abstract: Arrangement in a fuse for projectiles with explosive charge for changing over between direct and delayed ignition of the explosive charge. The arrangement includes a movable contact member which in an initial position short-circuits an electrical igniter which is designed for direct ignition of the explosive charge. A locking member in the form of a pin in an initial orientation of the projectile takes up a position in which the contact member can move under the influence of the accelerational forces effective on the projectile to a second position where the contact member is held by a detent device. With a second orientation of the projectile the pin, as a result of its own weight, drops down to a position where it prevents the contact member moving from the said initial position.
