  • Patent number: 8701908
Abstract: Cap with a hollow housing containing a count down mechanism so that when a person pushes down on the cap during the opening process, a rotational force within the housing causes the day and numerical count indices printed on cylinders within the housing to advance one station so that the day and count indices showing in viewing apertures located on the outside wall of the housing reflect the fact that an item such as a pill has been taken by the user. A preferred embodiment includes a ring release slide mechanism that allows the user to disengage the advancing mechanism so that the user can manually rotate the counting mechanism to initially set the indices to the correct location with respect to the viewing apertures and to be able to reset the indices if the user presses on the top cap housing accidentally.

  • Publication number: 20110175407
Abstract: Beach chair with sun protective device with a folding beach chair frame made of tubular metal and water resistant fabric and a pair of arm supports, a sun shade mounted on a spring retractable roller, a shade attachment bar, a pair of shade attachment hooks, a pair of back extension rods and a pair of leg extension rods. The back extension rods are extendable from the back support tubes of the beach chair frame. The leg extension rods are extendable from the rear leg support tubes of the beach chair frame. The roller and the shade are mounted to the back extension rods so that when a user extends the back extension rods and the leg extension rods, he or she can pull out the shade from the spring roller and attach the shade to the shade attachment hooks to form an overhead sun shade.

  • Publication number: 20080206388
Abstract: Doughnut making machine with a metal trough, a heating element, a doughnut pushing chain assembly, a chain drive motor, a doughnut batter hopper, a motorized batter dispensing mechanism, a plurality of chain idler pulleys, a chain drive motor and attached pulley, and doughnut flipping fingers. The is chain is wrapped into a belt and is driven by the chain drive pulley that is in turn driven by the chain drive motor. The chain is wrapped around the idler pulleys in a secure fashion. The dispensing mechanism activates when the belt switch activators contact a dough dispensing switch located on the chain. The batter is dropped into the oil that resides in the trough. The heated oil causes the doughnut mixture to fry. The resulting doughnut shape is propelled forward by chain push fingers. The flipping fingers offer resistance to the doughnut causing it to flip over.

  • Publication number: 20080104848
Abstract: A reciprocating pipe cutter that uses a thin diameter wire saw as a cutting element. The wire saw blade attaches at one end to a reciprocating blade that can is mounted into a standard electrically powered reciprocating saw tool. The saw wire proceeds from the reciprocating blade, around the perimeter of a fixed pulley and then around the perimeter of a pulley mounted to a swingable arm. The wire terminates at its other end to an extension spring. When the electric tool is turned on, the saw wire reciprocates so that when the wire is pushed into the wall of a pipe, it can cut the pipe in two. The swingable arm allows pipes of varying diameters to be cut. The reciprocating pipe cutting tool allows the user to cut a pipe while it is in place without doing damage to near by surfaces.

  • Publication number: 20080073896
Abstract: A method of attaching book pages to a credit card sized cover by use of rectangular molded plastic assembly that includes, a folded molded plastic sheet and a page binder. The sheet has recessed portions that allow the thickness of a standard plastic credit card to be entrapped within the folded plastic assembly a pair of retaining blades are positioned within the folded assembly at an angle so that the blade portion is facing away from the plastic credit card. As the card is pushed into the folded plastic sheet it is prevented from being pulled out because of the blades. Each half of the folded sheet has a plurality apertures located adjacent and parallel to the living hinge. The apertures receive a spiral wire binding to retain a plurality of printed pages so that the pages form a book and the credit card sized sheet forms a book cover.

  • Publication number: 20070252356
Abstract: Combination bicycle and scooter having an eight inch diameter front wheel and a twelve inch diameter rear wheel, where by means of a double drive sprocket assembly, a person can pedal in a normal way and achieve speeds associated with a standard bicycle having twenty-six inch diameter wheels. The steering stem is hinged where it meets the longitudinal frame member. The frame member can telescope inward so that the entire bicycle and scooter assembly can fold down to approximately forty-two inches long, thirteen inches tall and nine inches wide, making it easy to transport in a vehicle such as an automobile, bus, train, boat or plane. A foot plate mounted on top of the longitudinal frame member allows the user to use the device as a standard scooter.

  • Publication number: 20060260474
Abstract: Kabob cooking pan having a generally rectangular shaped bottom and integral side walls, a hollow pan handle and a pan to handle attaching means. A plurality of food retaining cylindrical cages each terminate at one end in a removable closure cap and at its opposite end in a fixed closure cap. The pan includes a plurality of integral side by side troughs coinciding with the diameter of each cylindrical cage. The cage end caps each include an integral centrally located shaft, one shaft being round in cross section and the other shaft being non round in cross section. Each non round shaft is retained by a similar shaped aperture in a drive pulley assembly housed within the hollow handle portion which is in turn engages a rotatable crank assembly so that the cages can be rotated by the turning of the crank.
