  • Patent number: 9960547
Abstract: Pass-thru connector assembly includes a pass-thru body having a passage section and a loading section that are configured to be positioned in separate first and second spaces, respectively. The pass-thru body also includes a body channel that extends therethrough. The passage section defines an opening to the body channel in the first space. The pass-thru connector assembly also includes a header housing that is configured to mate with an electrical connector. The header housing is attached to the passage section and covers the opening to the body channel. An electrical cable extends through an aperture of a cable seal and into and through the cable portion of the body channel. The cable seal engages the outer jacket of the electrical cable at a sealed interface. The electrical contact is coupled to the header housing and positioned for engaging a corresponding contact of the electrical connector.

  • Patent number: 9620265
Abstract: A sealed header assembly includes a housing having a cover shroud portion, a mounting portion, and a wire holder portion. The sealed header assembly includes a wire cover removably mounted to the housing. A seal is held within the housing by a seal cap. The housing and wire cover include wire guidance features for providing a path for the wire to exit the housing.

  • Patent number: 6514098
Abstract: An electrical connector housing assembly is provided having a plug assembly and cap assembly matable with one another to form a wire to wire, wire to board or wire to device connection. The plug assembly is formed with a latching member thereon, while the cap assembly is formed with a connector position assurance device (CPA) thereon. The overall envelope of the connector housing assembly is reduced by dividing the latch member and CPA between the plug and cap housings. Keying features are formed integrally with plug and cap terminal position assurance devices (TPAs) to ensure proper orientation between the plug and cap and to further assure that each plug is connected to the corresponding cap. The overall envelope is further reduced by forming the keying features internal to the housings upon the TPAs.

  • Patent number: 5772454
Abstract: The invention comprises a contact terminal having a body with a forward end, a rearward end, an insulation crimping section, and a conductor crimping section. The body has a first stop member to engage insulation on a wire and prevent the insulation from being inserted further forward into the body. A second stop member engages an upper surface of a circuit board to prevent the body from being inserted further forward into a through hole in the circuit board. The second stop member being further forward on the body than the first stop member. When the body is inserted into the through hole in the circuit board, the first and the second stop members maintain the insulation on the wire spaced away from the circuit board thereby protecting the insulation from exposure to heat during soldering.
