  • Patent number: 6129373
Abstract: A single-handed folding device comprises a slidable pressing means having flanges, a rivet for slidably holding the slidable pressing means, slidable keys for performing locking operation, and wires with one end fixed to the slidable pressing means and the other end fixed to the slidable keys. While the slidable pressing means is moved with relation to the rivet, the wires will be tensioned, which in turn cause the slidable keys to be pulled to an opening position so as to loosen the locking means. Further, a spring is arranged at the center of the slidable pressing means so that a force should be exerted during pressing the slidable pressing means. In addition, the single-handed folding device further includes sliding rings to facilitate the movement of the wires.

  • Patent number: 6099019
Abstract: A lockup mechanism for an infant stroller comprises a lockup member having a protrusion at one end thereof and a cavity at the other end thereof and received in a rear leg of the stroller to be movable between a first position where the protrusion is retreated inside the rear leg and a second position where the protrusion is protruded outside the rear leg; and a spring provided in the cavity of the lockup member for biasing the lockup member towards the second position, wherein when the frame of the stroller is in the collapsed position, the rear leg can be fixed with respect to the joint by the lockup member biased toward the second position by the spring so that the protrusion of the lockup member abuts against the joint, and the rear leg can be released to rotate freely with respect to the joint by moving the lockup member from the second position to the first position against a biasing force of the spring so that the frame can be moved from the collapsed position to the operating position.

  • Patent number: 5308143
Abstract: A safety rocker or an infant seat includes a foot piece, a support bracket, two clips, two sets of pads, an upper frame, a lower frame, an inner fastener, a torsion coil spring, an outer fastener, a bolt, a swivel head, and a seat cover. The two clips are mounted on the foot piece near the bend point in order to attach the support bracket to the foot piece. The support bracket can be detached from these two clips to fold up the rocker when it is not in use. A swinging mechanism is constructed by using the bolt to penetrate the lower frame, the inner fastener, the torsion coil spring, the outer fastener, and the support bracket. Then, the swivel head is engaged with the bolt such that the lower and upper frames can limitedly rotate about the bolt with respect to the support bracket. The swivel head can be locked by engaging the inner and outer fasteners together if the rotation of the lower and upper frames with respect to the support bracket is not intended.

  • Patent number: 5018754
Abstract: The present invention relates to a front seat reversing structure for a dual-seat baby stroller comprising a reversing lever, a locating bar, switching elements, links, arms, and a handlebar wherein the reversing lever is secured to the locating bar, the ends of the locating bar being passed through the guide slots on the ends of the seat-back frame, the seat-back frame being pivoted to the switching elements which are secured to the links, the handlebar being able to slide over the upper side-bar and an engaging element being rotatably pinned to one side of the upper-bar so as to retain the handlebar. Direction changing can be effected by pulling the reversing lever and the seat-back frame such that the position of the locating bar is changed to the opposite side of the switching elements, in connection with the arms being caused to swing by the links. When an engaging element is pressed and the handle is pulled to extend forward, the usable space of the baby stroller can be expanded.
