  • Patent number: 8879107
Abstract: The request management server receives a print data acquisition request received from the client device located at an external access-limited site, and specifies the print server disposed in the site to which the user device belongs as a device that prints the print data. Then, the request management server provides an instruction to the specified print server about the acquisition of the print data via the client device which has made the print data acquisition request.

  • Patent number: 8705099
Abstract: An information processing apparatus connectable to a server which manages print data, and a printer which prints based on the print data receives the print data from the server, and transfers the received print data to the printer by each first data size. When a disconnection between the server and the information processing apparatus is detected, the information processing apparatus transfers the print data to the printer by each second data size smaller than the first data size.

  • Patent number: 8553264
Abstract: An information processing apparatus which stores a job generated by a printer driver in memory unit, and specifies a printer to execute a print process of the stored job in accordance with a request from a client, comprises: determination unit for determining whether a job for which a print instruction is issued by the request is generated by a generic driver; device type specification unit for specifying a device type of a printer capable of printing the job for which the print instruction is issued, based on setting information of the job, when the determination unit determines that the job is generated by the generic driver; and printer specification unit for specifying, as the printer capable of printing the job for which the print instruction is issued, a printer corresponding to the printer information which is managed by a management unit and matches the device type specified.

  • Patent number: 8355151
Abstract: A print-request controlling unit requests a print-reservation executing unit to execute provisional reservation of a print job and requests a server communicatable over a network to print a document if the result of the provisional reservation in response to the request received from the print-reservation executing unit indicates that the print job has been provisionally reserved. The print-reservation executing unit receives the request to execute the provisional reservation from the print-request controlling unit, provisionally reserves the print job in response to the received request to execute the provisional reservation, and notifies the print-request controlling unit of the result of the provisional reservation indicating that the print job has been provisionally reserved when the print job is provisionally reserved.

  • Publication number: 20110246867
Abstract: A form creation apparatus to communicate with a data management service that manages data to be overlaid on a form template may include a management unit, an acquisition unit, an overlaying unit, and a notification unit. The management unit manages the form template. The acquisition unit acquires the data from the data management service. The overlaying unit overlays on the form template, data acquired by the acquisition unit or data changed based on data acquired by the acquisition unit. The notification unit notifies, if data overlaid on the form template is the data changed based on the data acquired by the acquisition unit, that the data has been changed.

  • Publication number: 20100103453
Abstract: In a printing system that registers a schedule of print jobs before printing and that executes the print jobs in order of registration, a print server receives a print request of print jobs and requests a print device to register the print jobs. The print server abandons the print jobs after the request of the registration of the print jobs. Meanwhile, the print device that has received the registration of the print jobs registers the print jobs in the schedule, and the print device instructs the print server to execute the print jobs according to the schedule. The print server acquires the instructed print jobs, generates print data based on the print jobs, and transfers the print data to the print device.
