  • Patent number: 10467888
Abstract: A method of dynamically adjusting an emergency coordination simulation system includes performing an emergency coordination simulation for a subarea of a geographic region based on expected user behavior in the subarea and environmental variables of the subarea. An emergency notice is transmitted to a plurality of users. A plurality of citizen sensor reports is received from the users via citizen sensor monitoring devices. The devices communicate with a backend system and form a citizen sensor platform. A consistency check is performed on the plurality of citizen sensor reports. The plurality of citizen sensor reports is filtered to remove outliers. An emergency coordination resimulation is performed for the subarea based on the expected user behavior in the subarea, the environmental variables of the subarea, and the filtered plurality of citizen sensor reports. An updated emergency notice is transmitted to the plurality of users based on the emergency coordination resimulation.

  • Patent number: 10325332
Abstract: A system for incentivizing travel patterns to reduce traffic congestion includes a negotiator that receives a travel template from a traveler, transmits a set of journey options to the traveler, receives a journey selected from the journey options, and sends a journey contract to the traveler based on the selected journey, a journey generator that determines the set of journey options based on the travel template, the traveler's historical behavior, and current network conditions, a rewards engine that calculates the reward associated with each journey option based on a reduction in cost for the journey, a location arbitrator that receives location information from the traveler as the travelers performs the journey in the journey contract, and a verification engine that verifies, whether the traveler's journey complied the terms of the journey contract, and determines the traveler's reward as calculated by the rewards engine based on a degree of compliance with the contract.

  • Patent number: 9523986
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a system for coordinating the delivery of a payload by a drone to a recipient, the system comprising a drone; where the drone is an autonomous vehicle that is operative to perform one or more functions without human intervention; and a facility agent acting on behalf of a facility in which the recipient is located; where the facility agent is autonomous and is operative to act on behalf of either the recipient or the facility in which the recipient is located; and where the facility agent comprises an access option enumerator for computing a set of delivery strategies in accordance with a constraint or a goal; and an access negotiator for reaching an agreement between the drone and the facility agent on the delivery strategy for the payload.

  • Publication number: 20150324871
Abstract: Various embodiments perform a fair ranking of citizen sensor reports. In one embodiment, a plurality of citizen sensor reports is received. Each of the plurality of citizen sensor reports is associated with a reporting target. At least one context event is identified for each of the plurality of citizen sensor reports. An impact factor is calculated for each the identified context events with respect to their citizen sensor reports. A rank is assigned to each of the plurality of citizen sensor reports with respect to each remaining citizen sensor report in the plurality of citizen sensor reports. The rank is determined based on at last a set of information within the citizen sensor report and the impact factor calculated for the citizen sensor report.

  • Publication number: 20140278338
Abstract: An information processing system and a computer readable storage medium, for regulating input data streams of a stream computing environment. A processor of the information processing system captures one or more data streams history of inputs and outputs of a working stream computing environment (SCE). The processor off-line simulates at least one candidate training model of the SCE processing input data streams and output data streams according to the one or more data streams history. The processor varies modulation of the input data streams into the candidate training model during the off-line simulation, analyzes effects of the varying modulation of input data streams on the off-line simulation of the SCE, determines, based on the analyzing, effectiveness of each of the at least one candidate training model of the SCE to regulate input data streams without affecting, within acceptable tolerance limits, the SCE processing of the output data streams.
