  • Patent number: 9383675
Abstract: An image forming section includes a bearing member configured to bear an image, and a light-emitting-element array having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged linearly in an arrangement direction. The image forming section is configured to form an image on the bearing member by using the plurality of light emitting elements to form the image on a sheet. A reader is configured to read an image formed on a sheet. A memory stores instructions, the instructions, when executed by a processor, causing the processor to perform: a pattern reading process of controlling the reader to read a sheet on which a pattern image is formed, the pattern image being an image for detecting positional deviation of the light-emitting-element array; and a deviation calculating process of calculating an amount of positional deviation of the light-emitting-element array based on a reading result by the pattern reading process.

  • Patent number: 9329559
Abstract: An image formation device is provided with an endless belt wound around a driving roller and a driven roller, a driving helical gear integrally provided at an axial end of the driving roller and rotating integrally with the driving roller. The driving helical gear applies a rotational force and an axial force to the driving roller. A plurality of guiding ribs are provided to an inner surface of the endless belt, while a regulating portion is provided at least one of the driving roller and the driven roller. The regulating portion has a regulation surface. When the endless belt moves obliquely in a direction in which the driving helical gear applies the axial force to the driving roller, side surfaces of the guiding ribs contact the regulating surface and prevent the oblique movement of the endless belt.

  • Patent number: 9213292
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus, when it is determined that a pre-execution condition is satisfied, a cleaning unit is brought from a first state into a second state and is controlled to clean the bearing body. When it is determined that an execution condition is satisfied, a pattern acquisition is executed to form a pattern image on the bearing body by using an image forming section and to acquire characteristics of the pattern image based on detection results. The pre-execution condition includes a condition that a correlation value satisfies a first condition. The correlation value is correlated with an amount of deviation in characteristics of images formed by the image forming section. The execution condition includes a condition that the correlation value satisfies a second condition. The correlation value satisfies the first condition before satisfying the second condition.

  • Patent number: 9191540
Abstract: An image forming section includes a bearing member configured to bear an image, and a plurality of light-emitting-element groups each having a plurality of light emitting elements arranged linearly in an arrangement direction. The image forming section forms an image on the bearing member by using the light-emitting-element groups to transfer the image on a sheet. The reader reads an image on a sheet. When executed by the processor, the instructions cause the processor to perform: a pattern reading process of controlling the reader to read a pattern image, the pattern image being an image for detecting density deviation and formed on the sheet by using the light-emitting-element groups; and a calculating process of calculating an amount of density deviation of each of the light-emitting-element groups based on a reading result by the pattern reading process. Each light-emitting-element group is a unit of calculation of the amount of density deviation.
