Abstract: A method for installing software components includes: a terminal receives a software component package delivered by a Device Management (DM) server directly or a download address of the component package and a command instructing to download delivered by the DM server, where the software component package contains more than one software component; if the terminal receives the download address and the command instructing to download, the terminal downloads the software component package from the download address; the terminal installs the obtained software component package locally and generates management nodes and subnodes of the management nodes corresponding to the software components under a Deployed subtree of the Software Component Management Object (SCOMO) of the terminal. With the present invention, the process of installing software component is more reasonable. A system and apparatus for installing software components are also provided.

Abstract: A method for executing a management operation by a terminal in a communications system. The method comprises the followings: The terminal receives the management operation commands that indicate the operation to target operation nodes in the device capability management object and operates them. The said operation initiates the process for executing the corresponding device capability management operation, then the said management operation transfers the device capability status. Also, the corresponding terminal and system are disclosed. The present invention can centrally manage and control the terminal capability.

Abstract: A method, a system, a server, and a terminal for processing message are described. The method includes the steps as follows. A notification message for requesting to establish a session sent by a session requester is received, in which the notification message carries session management information related to the session. The session management information of the session in the notification message is acquired, and a session connection with the session requester is initiated according to the session management information. Alternatively, the notification message is acknowledged according to the session management information, a reply message is generated according to an acknowledgement result, and the reply message is sent to the session requester.

Abstract: A method for maintaining a Device Capability Management Object (DCMO) which relates to technical field of Open Mobile Alliance Device Management (OMA DM), including detecting changed capability information in a terminal device by the terminal device, and maintaining a corresponding Device Capability Management Object in a Device Management tree in the terminal device based on the detected changed capability information, is used to overcome that wireless transmission resources are wasted and processing payloads of a Device Management Server (DMS) system are increased when updating and maintaining the corresponding Device Capability Management Object once capability information in the terminal device changes.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a system for executing synchronization are provided. The method includes: obtaining synchronization information in a set Data Synchronization Management Object (DSMO); and executing a synchronization task corresponding to the synchronization information in the DSMO. Because the server that synchronizes data with the terminal can access the DSMO in the terminal, and query and manage the specific synchronization task defined in the DSMO of the terminal, the server can know the data synchronization operations to be performed between the terminal and the server, set and modify the data synchronization operations, and define the synchronization tasks, thus reducing the requirements on the technical capabilities of a user.

By using the method of the present invention, the client synchronizes the data according to the received data synchronization parameter. In the data synchronization process, the data synchronization parameters is easily set for the client, without manual operations, thus improving the operability of the data synchronization. An apparatus and system for data synchronization are also provided.

The method includes: by a server, using a Trigger message nonce to generate a Trigger message, and sending the generated Trigger message to a client so that the client can extract the Trigger message nonce; after determining that the Trigger message nonce is valid, using the Trigger message nonce to generate a digest, and authenticating the Trigger message generated by using the Trigger message nonce; after the authentication succeeds, sending a session request to the server indicated by the Trigger message, where the session request carries a session ID. The corresponding system, server and client are disclosed herein. The present invention makes the authentication process more secure through the client and the server based on the DS or DM protocol.

Abstract: A method for data synchronization (DS) is provided, which includes comparing data fingerprints in databases of two parties in need of DS, determining data that needs to be synchronized, and DS is then performed on the data that needs to be synchronized. A system and two devices for DS are further provided. Therefore, DS is implemented through data fingerprints in the technical solutions, thus avoiding transmitting a mass of data between the two parties in need of DS.

Abstract: A method for access control in device management includes: by a terminal, receiving a command that includes a node identifier of a target ID from a server; judging whether the server rights meet preset rights; running the command when the server rights meet the preset rights and the server has an access right (ACL) of the target node identified by the node identifier. The present invention solves the problem that the MOs are beyond control because any server can create any type of MOs in the terminal, thus improving the security of the system. A system and terminal for access control in device management are also provided.

Abstract: A method, terminal, and system for soft-deleting, restoring, and synchronizing data are provided. The method for synchronizing data includes: synchronizing, by a server and a terminal, server data not marked as soft-deleted during data synchronization. The method for soft-deleting data includes: receiving, by a server, a soft deletion request from a terminal; and obtaining server data to be soft-deleted according to the soft deletion request and marking the server data as soft-deleted. With the embodiments of the present invention, the server marks the soft-deleted server data as soft-deleted. Thus, the server does not synchronize the soft-deleted server data back to the terminal during normal synchronization or slow synchronization. This avoids confused data management and ensures the normal running of the terminal.
