  • Publication number: 20230394930
Abstract: Location based wagering method sand systems. An online wagering service can be invoked via a mobile device. A determination can be then made regarding the location of the mobile device and a jurisdiction (e.g., state, county, city, etc.) associated with that location. The mobile device and hence a user can be authorized to access the online wagering service based on the location of the mobile device. Based on the location, it can also be determined if use of the online wagering service is allowed in the jurisdiction along with prescribed limitations of use in that jurisdiction. Wagering options are then presented via the mobile device, which conform to the laws and/or regulations of the jurisdiction.

  • Publication number: 20230325924
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a user with a proprietary asset corresponding to a name, image or likeness (NIL) of a college athlete, can involve allowing a user through a user interface to choose to affiliate an NIL identifier(s) in a relational database with a user transaction, wherein the user transaction is associated through the relational database to the NIL identifier(s) so that a college athlete(s) respectively associated with the NIL identifier(s) can receive a financial benefit from the user transaction. As a result of the user transaction, the user can be permitted to receive an NIL benefit from the college athlete(s), the NIL benefit including, for example, a non-fungible token image of the college athlete(s), a digital image of the college athlete(s), a likeness of the college athlete(s), a communication from or on behalf of the college athlete(s), and so on.

  • Publication number: 20230130701
Abstract: Methods, systems and processor-readable media for providing instant/real-time voice alerts automatically to remote electronic devices. An activity can be detected utilizing one or more sensors. A text message indicative of the activity can be generated and converted into a digitized voice alert. The activity can also be a live utterance (e.g., a live announcement), which can then be instantly converted into a digitized voice alert for automatic delivery in a selected series of languages following the base language (e.g., English). The combined digitized voice alert can then be instantly transmitted through a network for broadcast of consecutive alerts (e.g., English followed by Spanish followed by Vietnamese, etc.) to one or more remote electronic devices that communicate with the network for an automatic audio announcement of the digitized voice alert through the one or more remote electronic devices.

  • Patent number: 11496814
Abstract: Method, system and computer program product for providing additional information to a handheld device (HHD) about a displayed point of interest in video programming displayed on a multimedia display. A image of the video programming captured by a HHD camera can be used at a remote server to identify the video programming by matching it with archived programming. If identified, additional information related to the video programming can be obtained/provided. A region within a particular frame of displayed video programming can be selected at the HHD to access additional information about a point of interest associated with the region. The additional information can be displayed on the HHD or a secondary display, in response to selecting the region to access the additional information from a remote server.
