  • Publication number: 20070088464
Abstract: An inter-vehicle communication system provides the ability to propagate signal groups along lanes of traffic and between lanes of traffic. Each vehicle includes a user interface that permits the driver of vehicle to send messages and to receive messages, the messages generally referring to traffic conditions. In this manner, drivers in traffic pattern can be made aware of traffic conditions that are remote from the vehicle and can take appropriate, timely action.

  • Publication number: 20070026093
Abstract: An apparatus and method in a portable electronic device for slowing down a spinning device to provide power to a system or charge a battery. The apparatus includes a spinning device coupled to a boost device and at least one switch. The boost device may boost a voltage generated by slowing down the spinning device to power a system or charge a battery. The apparatus and method may decrease the demand on the battery of a portable device and may lengthen the time that the portable device may operate independent of an outside power source.

  • Publication number: 20060104461
Abstract: In an audio unit in which the audio signals are processed by processing unit and applied to an audio output unit through a blocking capacitor, the value of the blocking capacitor can reduced and the frequency response maintained by providing low frequency compensation. The low frequency compensation is provided by an FIR or IIR filter, the parameters of the FIR or IIR filter being adjusted for the appropriate compensation.

  • Publication number: 20060082375
Abstract: In order to determine when a battery is failing, the internal resistance is measured periodically. Because as a battery ages, the internal resistance increases, a table is maintained of periodic measurements of the battery internal resistance. Based on previous experience, an indicia can be identified from the table that permits the identification of the imminent failure of the battery.
