  • Publication number: 20230264521
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products for eliminating the need for a manual tread wear system reset in a tire management system are disclosed. In a particular embodiment, a method to eliminate the need for a manual tread wear system reset in a tire management system includes a vehicle control system (VCS) of a vehicle receiving a tire identifier for a tire corresponding to a tire sensor. In this embodiment, the vehicle control system determines, based on the tire identifier, whether the tire is in an unused state and calculates, based on whether the tire is in an unused state, a tread depth for the tire.

  • Patent number: 7494736
Abstract: An assembly having a dielectric frame which utilizes a plurality of segments, each segment having opposing first and second surfaces and first and second ends portions. Each of the first and second end portions has an end surface and a cutout extending from the end surface of the end portion along the length of the segment and from the first surface to the second surface. The segments of the frame are arranged in abutting relationship with the first surfaces of the segments aligned and the second surfaces of said segments aligned and with the end surface of a first end portion of a segment abutting the end surface of the second end portion of the adjacent segment. In this way, the cutouts of the first and second end portions of abutting segments form a keyway and a key is situated in the keyway so as to hold the abutting segments together. In accordance with the invention, certain of the segments are provided with recesses in the first surfaces of the segments adjacent the cutouts.

  • Patent number: 7375981
Abstract: An electric power distribution and control apparatus has a stack of conductive plates each having a plurality of spaced contact pads and conductive traces connecting the contact pads to others of the pads. At least one of the plates has contact terminals for connection to electrical components for supply of electrical current. An array of contact pins pass through holes in the plates at a respective one of the contact pads such that the array of pins provides connection between selected contact pads of different selected conductive plates. An electronic system for connection to a communication bus is added to the above known system by providing a main circuit board having the electronic components thereon, a mapping circuit board having a plurality of contact pads thereon arranged for connection to respective ones of the array of pins and a header having a male pin array and a female socket array connecting the main printed circuit board and the mapping circuit board.

  • Patent number: 5655301
Abstract: A nose hair trimmer and method for making the same. A generally cylindrical outer handle has an axial bore therethrough. A generally cylindrical inner handle is received in the axial bore and includes an enlarged portion which abuts against one end of the outer handle and prevents the inner handle from passing further into the bore. A generally tubular outer blade is received substantially within the axial bore at the other end of the outer handle. A generally tubular inner blade is received substantially within the outer blade and is mounted on one end of the inner handle via welding. An annular lip formed on the radially inner surface of the axial bore adjacent the lower end of the inner blade is oriented to substantially prevent axial movement of the inner blade beyond the lip.A method for making the nose hair trimmer is also provided.
