  • Publication number: 20190389554
Abstract: A buoyant aerial vehicle system includes a balloon, a ballonet configured to selectively receive and discharge a gas to adjust an altitude of the balloon, and an energy regeneration assembly. The energy regeneration assembly includes a turbine and an electric motor. The turbine is coupled to an outlet of the ballonet, such that gas released by the bayonet activates the turbine. The electric motor is operably coupled to the turbine and is configured to convert mechanical energy received from the turbine into electrical energy and convey the electrical energy to a battery.

  • Publication number: 20180125238
Abstract: The present application provides various examples of bracket for mounting a shelf to a flat vertical surface such as a wall. Examples and configurations disclosed herein provide brackets that have a high ratio of weight-supporting capacity to visibility relative to previous wall-mountable shelf-support apparatuses. One or more elongate members may extend through one or more apertures in a metal base. The proximal end(s) of the one or more elongate members may be welded to the back of the metal base around a cross-sectional perimeter of a cross-sectional shape that is shared by the proximal ends of the elongate members and the back ends of the apertures.

  • Patent number: 9293792
Abstract: A method of managing leakage of liquid inside a battery system comprises: containing leaking liquid in a non-liquid sensitive region of the battery system so as to protect internal electrical components of the battery system from coming in contact with the leaking liquid; and in direct response to the leakage, expunging the leaking liquid from the battery system. A drain device includes: a body with a port therethrough, the body configured to be positioned in a wall of a container; means for opening the port in response to a first liquid contacting the drain device on an inside of the container; and means for resisting ingress into the container by a second liquid that contacts the drain device on an outside of the container.

  • Publication number: 20150317896
Abstract: A smart label includes an antenna and an integrated sensor, and in response to receiving an initiating interrogation signal transmits a response signal that includes a first component that identifies the smart label and second component that provides data generated at the sensor in response to an environmental parameter. The response signal allows the data indicating the status of the environmental parameter, such as temperature or moisture, at the location of the specific smart label to be transmitted along with a time stamp. A method of activating a sensor on the smart label is also provided.

  • Patent number: 8826375
Abstract: A user annotates a shared document with text, sound, images, video, an e-mail message, graphics, screen snapshots, web site snapshots to share with others. The document and its annotations are stored in a digital object repository to which other users have access. Within the closed collaboration system, only users who are authenticated may upload digital objects, annotate digital objects and view objects and their annotations. The user sends a message to other users to invite them to view the object and its annotations and to add their own annotations. An annotated object generates an alert for all of the invited users. A remote authentication gateway authenticates users and has a repository for user metadata. Digital object repositories are separate from the authentication gateway, thus providing for disintermediation of the user metadata from the digital object data. The collaboration system may be hosted by a third party on a server computer available over the Internet that displays a web site.
