  • Publication number: 20240067078
Abstract: A lamp body to be releasably coupled to a mounting surface. The lamp body comprises a mount post and a cantilevered lock. The mount post is configured to be received in a mounting hole in the mounting surface, where the mount post is configured to slide between a releasing portion of the mounting hole and a locking portion of the mounting hole. The cantilevered lock is configured to releasably engage with a stop on the mounting surface when the mount post slides into the locking portion of the mounting hole to retain the mount post within the locking portion of the mounting hole.

  • Patent number: 9045996
Abstract: A method of increasing the operational efficiency of an operating gas turbine engine includes supplying mechanical power from a first spool of the operating gas turbine engine to a first electrical machine to thereby generate electrical power using the first electrical machine and supplying mechanical power from a second spool of the operating gas turbine engine to a second electrical machine to thereby generate electrical power using the second electrical machine. The method further includes sensing one or more operational parameters of the operating gas turbine engine and, based on the one or more sensed operational parameters, ceasing to generate electrical power using the second electrical machine, and instead supplying at least a part of the electrical power generated by the first electrical machine to the second electrical machine to operate in motoring mode and to thereby generate and supply mechanical output power to the second spool of the engine.

  • Publication number: 20130147192
Abstract: A method of supplying mechanical power to an operating gas turbine engine includes supplying mechanical power from the operating gas turbine engine to a starter-generator, to thereby generate electrical power using the starter-generator. One or more operational parameters of the operating gas turbine engine are sensed and, based on the one or more sensed operational parameters, electrical power is selectively supplied to the starter-generator to thereby generate and supply mechanical output power to the operating gas turbine engine.

  • Publication number: 20070126450
Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method for diagnostically testing circuitry within a device. The apparatus and method incorporate the use of energy (e.g., light, heat, magnetic, electric, etc.) applied directly to any location on the device that can affect the electrical activity within the circuitry being tested in order to produce an indicator of a response. A local sensor (e.g., photonic, magnetic, etc.) is positioned at another location on the device where the sensor can detect the indicator of the response within the circuitry. A correlator is configured with response location correlation software and/or circuit tracing software so that when the indicator is detected, the correlator can determine the exact location of a response causing a device failure and/or trace the connectivity of the circuitry, based upon the location of the energy source and the location of the sensor.
