  • Publication number: 20190152460
Abstract: An electromechanical brake system includes a caliper, an electric motor mounted to the caliper, a gear element mechanically connected to the electric motor, an actuator supported by the caliper, the actuator including an actuation member, and a controller operatively connected to the actuator. The controller is operable to selectively engage the actuation member with the gear element to positionally lock the first caliper member relative to the second caliper member.

  • Patent number: 9889835
Abstract: A vehicle includes a brake system. The brake system includes a hydraulic brake line having a line pressure. The vehicle additionally includes a vacuum reservoir. The vacuum reservoir is selectively fluidly coupled to the hydraulic brake line. The vacuum reservoir is configured to, when fluidly coupled to the hydraulic brake line, reduce the line pressure during a drive cycle.

  • Patent number: 9470271
Abstract: A sealing boot assembly comprises a flexible boot having a first end in sealing engagement with an outer surface of a shaft to define an inner chamber therein. A venting orifice extends from the inner chamber through the flexible boot to ambient and a moisture-blocking, vapor-breathable membrane is disposed across the venting orifice between the inner chamber and ambient to vent gas from the inner chamber during high temperature operation of the shaft and to allow air to returns to the inner chamber upon cooling thereof.
