  • Publication number: 20240169036
Abstract: System and method for managing health and safety protocols for occasions, including validation of health verification requirements, asynchronous communication, and generation of multi-factor health credentials. All components of the system can be configured within an integrated graphical user interface (GUI). These components, or subsystems, include a health verification subsystem to indicate one or more health verification requirements for attending the occasion, an occasion communication subsystem to manage communication with prospective visitors to the occasion, and an occasion access subsystem to generate electronic passes to the occasion for prospective visitors who comply with the health verification requirements. Health information provided by a prospective visitor is verified, a visitor/occasion specific QR code is generated and sent to the visitor in an email message.

  • Publication number: 20240096146
Abstract: Methods and systems of enabling a non-interfering mode in a telematics device are provided. The method may be used to prevent interference between a telematics device and a diagnostic tool connected to the same vehicle communications bus. When a diagnostic tool is detected, the telematics device enables a non-interfering mode. Advantageously, the operation of diagnostic tools such as emissions testing diagnostic tools, is not disrupted.

  • Publication number: 20080174548
Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed including a punching bag and at least a first force sensitive device attached to the punching bag. The apparatus may also include a computer processor, and a display device. The first force sensitive device communicates with the computer processor so that when a sufficient force contacts the first force sensitive device, a signal is sent from the first force sensitive device to the computer processor. The computer processor may be programmed to cause a first image to be displayed on the display device in response to a sufficient force contacting the first force sensitive device.

  • Patent number: 7197382
Abstract: A method and system of engine state determination includes a plurality of requestors each of which compares vehicle or environmental conditions to a requirement and outputs a request state variable. The requestors are grouped according to function or component and the request state variables are combined and simplified at the output of each group. A state machine receives the final combined and simplified request state, and evaluates it according to the active or inactive status of the requests. The state machine carries out the proper state transition and outputs the desired engine state to engine control algorithms that start or stop the engine as necessary.

  • Publication number: 20050241355
Abstract: A safety system for use with a machine having a moving tool arranged to move through a known path of movement. The safety system is arranged to detect the presence of an obstruction in a region (20) around a portion of said path deemed to be hazardous. The safety system is characterised by comprising a light emitting means (16), a light receiving means (18) and a processing and control means. The light emitting means (16) is arranged to emit light generally parallel to the path of movement of the tool such that the region (20) is illuminated. The light receiving means (18) is arranged to receive light from the light emitting means (16) which has passed through the region (20).

  • Publication number: 20050111226
Abstract: The lens of a reflector type lamp may be recessed into the body of the reflector housing by molding the reflector interior with a ledged or similar support for the lens. The lens may then be hidden in the reflector housing. Light emitted from the lamp is then directed to the field of view, while light emerging from the lens edge is shielded by an extended sidewall of the reflector. The resulting view of the lamp is a very even distribution of emitted light.

  • Publication number: 20050018432
Abstract: A PAR lamp may be formed with a highly domed lens. The domed lens enables increased beam spread to as much as 90 degrees from the lamp axis. This fills in the shadow gaps between adjacent lamps. The domed lens may also extend beyond the forward edge of a recessed fixture and thereby washing the adjacent walls with light instead of leaving shadowed regions intermediate adjacent fixtures.
