  • Publication number: 20210270311
Abstract: A casing for a shaft assembly, a shaft assembly, a method of forming a casing, and a drive assembly. The casing may generally include a liner defining a central passage and having a body and an outwardly-extending leg (e.g., extending circumferentially about and/or axially along the body), and a cover extending circumferentially about and axially along the liner.

  • Patent number: 11006566
Abstract: A system for mechanically transmitting power from a common rotational drive shaft of a seeding implement to a geared outer periphery of a seed meter. The system includes a first transmission that connects to common rotational drive shaft, a flexible drive shaft coupled to the first transmission, and a second transmission coupled to the opposite end of the flexible drive shaft. A clutch assembly connects to a flexible drive shaft assembly to selectively allow power to be transmitted from the first transmission to the second transmission. The second transmission connects to the periphery of the seed meter. The seed plate of the seed meter includes a circumferential gear along a periphery to be driven by the second transmission.

  • Patent number: 10076074
Abstract: An apparatus for transmitting power from a drive shaft (24) to a seed meter shaft of a seed metering device includes a transmission (26). A transmission housing (28) has a first housing section (30) and an identical second housing section (30). The first housing section (30) and the second housing section (30) together define a first internal passageway (44) and a second internal passageway (50). The transmission further includes a first transmission element (46) rotatably supported by the first housing section (30) and the second housing section (30) in the first internal passageway (44). The first transmission element (46) connects to one of the drive shaft (24) and the seed meter shaft. The transmission further includes a second transmission element (54) rotatably supported by the first housing section (30) and the second housing section (30) in the second internal passageway (50).

  • Patent number: 6049459
Abstract: Spring clips with nesting end portions are disclosed for use in securing heat generating electrical devices to a support surface, such as a heat sink. The nesting end portions of the clips depend downwardly below the main body portion to prevent contact with edges of electrical devices of varying height and width. Thickness and temper of the clips provide some flexibility so there is less variability in clamping force applied to the clamped devices by the clip in response to tightening of the attachment means and torquing of the fastening means becomes less critical.

  • Patent number: 5961194
Abstract: For use with a cabinet having a door, a retractable handle and a method of operating the same. In one embodiment, the retractable handle includes: (1) a handle grip having first and second extensions projecting therefrom and passing through corresponding first and second apertures in the door and (2) a spring structure, coupling the first and second extensions to the door, that bears against the first and second extensions to urge the handle grip toward a retracted position and, when the handle grip is subjected to a pulling force, compresses to allow the handle grip to move toward an extended position.
